Lyrics

Back To A Stop

Written By: Davy Milton

When I think of relationships I have forgot
Acquaintances’ faces I can’t place at all
Something bad happened over the phone
And it all goes downhill in stereo

Won’t somebody break me of this spell
And give me a few more stories to tell
When I go away on a working trip
To the strangers that I’m sharing drinks with

Home sounds so good
I’ve got a plot picked out
A perfect little place by the ocean
Won’t you take me home

There’s too many places for me to sing
Each one into eternity completely
One thing’s for sure that’s a ticking clock
A circle that’s working on bringing me back to a stop

Home sounds so good
I’ve got a plot picked out
A perfect little place by the ocean
Won’t you take me home

By Your Bedside

Written By: Davy Milton

Been dreaming of some kind of scheme to get you out of bed
And take away that hateful sh** that sits inside your head
And make you dance around the room like it was 1992
I was nine then you were fine then, none of us knew
The storm that brewed inside of you

Me, I came from dust and love, just like everyone you meet
And I grew strong each day along the way I felt you helping me
Love held up my shelter when the rains came down in sheets
I hope these words can teach that love to pour right out of me
And get you back on your feet

I will sing this by your bedside
I won’t stop till you’re asleep
I will sing this by your bedside
I won’t stop till you’re asleep and dreaming
Just like me

Here’s hoping it ain’t too late for an atheist to pray
To hear a single secret I’m all ears, but I can wait
Poking at the notes slow so the song can last all night
Leave me speechless breathing lightly till my face turns white
To hear you speak one more time

I will sing this by your bedside
I won’t stop till you’re asleep
I will sing this by your bedside
I won’t stop till you’re asleep and dreaming
Just like me
