Dawn Soir

Dawn Soir

BandPopSinger/Songwriter

Dawn Soir could be considered the musical equivalence of The Odd Couple. Laura Slade Wiggins's acoustic pop-folk melodies mixed with Jonathan Spencer's funk rock bass and guitar lines will keep any audience dancing til they drop.

Biography

Dawn Soir was born October in '07 after being told that actors cannot be musicians. Mainly out of passion for sound and melody, and partially out of spite, Dawn Soir formed to prove that theory wrong! Actors Jonathan Spencer and Laura Wiggins both spent their childhoods in Athens, GA growing up amongst the rich music culture. The soulful Dawn Soir is currently working on an EP and hope to make it to a city near you very soon!

Lyrics

Sausage Man- live at 40 Watt

Written By: Laura Slade Wiggins and Jonathan Spencer

He works outside that college house.
He's a Washington man with a
John Paul spouse.
When Palaski bands go out at night,
they go to JB for a hot dog bite!

Chorus:
Sausage Man!
(with the Come Back Sauce)
Sausage Man!
(with the Come Back Sauce)

Verse:
There was Jazzy Jay with a wife and twins. He said I'll throw you a line, if you'll throw me some bids. Jazzy is gone. I think he left town. And after dollar shots, you need it all to go down!
So it's Saturday Night!
Whatcha gonna do?
Don't go to The Grill!
Don't be a fool!
Take a tip from JB- the sausage man.
He's at the 40 Watt lot with a Polish stand!

Sausage Man!
(with the Come Back Sauce)
Sausage Man!
(with the Come Back Sauce)

Name of the Game

Written By: Laura Slade Wiggins

No one said you were gonna live forever
till the day that you died.
And they would not except you till you got down on your knees
and you cried.
They tore down all the walls you built.
and your wretched soul they quickly killed.
Don't worry now.
Just settle down.

Chorus:
And you can't spin around and round
You can't jump.
Why spin around?
Sing a longs we wrote along your back
Laughing loudly, missed the joke, breathing in some dirty smoke.

Bridge:
Its a long way by sea.
And if you swim you're gonna die.
Now take it like a man,
or tell a clever lie.
but don't look down.

No one said you were gonna live forever
till the day that you died.
And they would not except you till you got down on your knees
and you cried.
And they took your kids
and they took your food
then the chewed it up and spit it out.
right in front of you

got down on your knees
and you cried.
They tore down all the walls you built.
and your wretched soul they quickly killed.
Don't worry now.
Just settle down.

Chorus:
And you can't spin around and round
You can't jump.
Why spin around?
Sing a longs we wrote along your back
Laughing loudly, missed the joke, shooting up that dirty coke.

Bridge:
is this a game?
that's the name of the game.
is this is a game?
for the fame! for the fame!
is this a game?
Danger's aim is just a game.
Is this a game?
should I play? it's just a game.
Is this a game?
I don't want to play.
