Bio
Dawson James is the founder and president of Double D records and Double D promotions. Dawson grew up with deep blues guitar and blues vocal roots. Out of high school, he studied Classical Baroque music at Fort Lewis College where he was turned on to Antonio Vivaldi. He since has earned the Deans List every semester he's attended the prestigious BERKLEE COLLEGE OF MUSIC. There he has found a love and passion for Latin, Jazz, swing,bop, reggae and many other types of music. He currently is a professional recording artist, Jazz guitarist, singer, songwriter, performer, and teacher. Dawson James is the front man and band leader in a popular Funk/Blues/Rock band called The Evening Groove. He enjoys playing regularly around the Massachusetts musical community.
