Dawson James is a professional recording artist, singer, jazz guitarist, and songwriter. Dawson has deep blues guitar and vocal roots. Dawson writes and performs a wide range of original music. His many influences combined with his professional musicianship make for a unique thumbprint of sound.

Biography

Dawson James is the founder and president of Double D records and Double D promotions. Dawson grew up with deep blues guitar and blues vocal roots. Out of high school, he studied Classical Baroque music at Fort Lewis College where he was turned on to Antonio Vivaldi. He since has earned the Deans List every semester he's attended the prestigious BERKLEE COLLEGE OF MUSIC. There he has found a love and passion for Latin, Jazz, swing,bop, reggae and many other types of music. He currently is a professional recording artist, Jazz guitarist, singer, songwriter, performer, and teacher. Dawson James is the front man and band leader in a popular Funk/Blues/Rock band called The Evening Groove. He enjoys playing regularly around the Massachusetts musical community. Dawson is releasing two debut albums in the summer of 2007. One Self titled album and another album entitled "SOUNDS" with The Evening Groove. Be sure to keep a lookout for Dawson James and The Evening Groove in future Music Awards as well as future national and world tours.
