Bio

Da Wurst Band in da World was formed in the summer of 2007 and by October of that year had already started receiving regular airplay with "Da Packer Drinkin' Song" on "Wisconsin's Rock Station" WAPL 105.7 FM in Green Bay. By January of 2008 the song was in heavy rotation and was requested consistently by the station's listeners.

In addition to WAPL, many other radio stations around the country began featuring the humorous songs of Da Wurst Band (among the radio stations were/are: WGMK - Philadelphia, WKLH - Milwaukee, WXQI and WCNN - Atlanta, WSUM, WJJO - Madison, ESPN radio, and even Howard (Stern) 101 on Sirius satellite radio. During that same time period, the band became the most well-known Wisconsin party band on MySpace.

At this point in time the band is in the process of perfecting the live stage show by piloting songs at various parties and bars around Wisconsin. So far the audience reaction has been overwhelming and far exceeds the expectations of the guys in the band.

The founder/singer/song writer is David Whitney, a Wisconsin native who now works out of Atlanta, GA. David has a unique ability to write catchy/audience-particpation songs that make people laugh (while simultaneously RAWKIN'!) This is the formula that has enabled Da Wurst songs in da World to catch on with FM rock stations (particularly morning shows), sports talk stations, and MySpace music fans around the world.

The stage show/antics can probably best be described as "Wisconsin's Answer to Spinal Tap". (not that Spinal Tap is a question or anything)

Thus, Da Wurst Band in da World is an obviously perfect addtition to any large outdoor music festival's lineup!

Are you ready to get this tailgate party started?!
