Daya Lorin is a contemporary gospel music artist and songwriter from Atlanta, Georgia. She is known to have a "funky" musical style which showcases elements of jazz, blues, and soul. Her sophomore album Day of Victory has a unique mix of songs which include Urban R&B, Neo Soul, Afro-Cuban, and 80's influenced music.
Some of her musical highlights are being featured on the radio segment, "The Battle", of the CoCo Brother Live nationally syndicated radio and performing on the "Atlanta Live" TV show which broadcasts to millions of viewers.
Daya desires to minister to those who do not know Jesus Christ and to show to them Christ love
and the joy and peace of knowing and serving Him.
Here are some fun facts about Daya:
*When she was a little girl, her musical influence was Anita Baker. Anita was a short-haired alto with a soulful sound, and Daya wanted to be just like her. Her other musical influences include Mary Mary because they feel free to be who they are in Christ and Fred Hammond because of his heart to worship God.
*1 Corinthians 1:25-31 are bible verses she is meditating on now. She explains, "I need to be reminded that, though I am an unlikely candidate for this path God has for me, He has a plan to use me for His glory."
*Daya believes Gospel Music is another means by which God draws us to repentance, reveals His love, and strengthens us to do His will. She is honored to sing for Him and fulfill such a great commission!
*Her favorite line from her song "I Am Famous" from her sophomore album, Day of Victory is the following: "You're a superstar to Him when you're walking in His will and in His authority you take hold of your destiny. Don't make less of who you are, in God you're a superstar and it pleases Him to see you bring Him glory!" - Gospel Music Quotes - Keisha R. Flemister (4/18/2012)

Bio
Daya Lorin is an indie contemporary gospel singer/songwriter who released her much anticipated junior project, First Loved, in 2012! Her style is a colorful blend of jazz and R&B influenced gospel, but with a funky twist.
Daya is a 2012 Atlanta Gospel Choice Award nominee for Best New Artist. Her music has been featured on the radio segment, The Battle, of the CoCo Brother Live nationally syndicated radio show and the Atlanta Live TV show which broadcasts to millions of viewers across the nation. She is also building her presence in the gospel music industry with her music in rotation on multiple Internet radio stations throughout the world.
Daya's new album, First Loved, is about God's LOVE for us and our response to that LOVE... faith, trust, obedience, relationship, communication, love! She blends her jazzy vocals, soulful delivery, and eclectic musical style into this exciting offering, First Loved. There are standouts like "Help", an R&P smash hit that chronicles the journey from trouble to triumph, "Whatever You Say", a gospel jazz offering to God that declares our commitment to obey Him, and "It Wasn't Enough", a rock inspired song that takes us from Adam to Jesus and shouts of Christ's endless love for us. First Loved has depth and variety which make it an album you can listen to again and again and again!
Daya prays that First Loved will minister to the body of Christ and strengthen it to grow in relationship with Him. It is also her desire that it will minister to those who don't know Jesus Christ, displaying to them His LOVE and the joy and peace of knowing and serving Him!
