Daydreamer

Boriz S, aka Daydreamer, born in Voronezh, Russia and currently living in Vancouver, BC picked up his stage name for always being known as a dreamer amongst his friends. Constantly losing himself in a personal unending sea of vivid ideas and endless possibilities, the power of all these imaginative dreams inspired him early on, helping shape his creativity and style as an artist. At the core of Daydreamer's strength in hip hop is his versatile approach to the genre. Daydreamer's songs are lyrically dense rap compositions layered onto various musical styles such as rock, folk, electro and then back again with influences stemming from his favorite artists such as Mike Shinoda, Ryan Tedder, and Buckethead. The subject matter on these tracks is equally as varied ranging from deeply personal to the light-hearted risqué. Wanting to share his dreams and have them be more than just a fleeting thought in his head, Daydreamer discovered the missing element between dreams and reality summed up in three words. Words so influential, they became the philosophy Daydreamer lives by and also the name of his first EP release: P³. To quote Boriz Safi, the Daydreamer himself, "It's all about Patience, Passion, and Persistence"

Borrowed from a close friend's song of the same title, it's these three words that push Daydreamer to new heights, whether hyping a screaming crowd, mixing in the studio, wooing all the purrty ladies or just shouting into a microphone. With the release of P³, Daydreamer wants to show everyone--including himself--and particularly reach any kids out there feeling neglected who just need a push in the right direction. Through his vibrant and colourful rhymes, he's preaching a message that with a healthy helping of Patience, Persistence and Passion, your dreams too can come alive.
