Where's Your Imagination

Written By: dayinthelife

Remember once
You were just a little girl
Without a care in the world
Success made your mess
I think you need a rest
Too busy even to smile
Business is your style
Is your life worthwhile

You think you gotta know about everything
And it's left you emotionally scarred
You think you gotta know about everything
Can't you see you're trying too hard
You think you gotta understand everything
And you put your soul on the shelf
You think you gotta know about…
You don't even know yourself

I hate to rain on your parade
But let it rain for a while
Cause it's you I'm trying to save
Why don't you look at your situation
What are you trying to do
Where's your imagination

You think you gotta know about everything
And it's left you emotionally scarred
You think you gotta know about everything
Can't you see you're trying too hard
You think you gotta understand everything
And you put your soul on the shelf
You think you gotta know about…
You don't even know yourself

I hate to rain on your parade
But let it rain for a while
Cause it's you I'm trying to save
Why don't you look at your situation
What are you trying to do
Where's your imagination

Cause it's you that will have to change it,
To get yourself on track,
But it's never to late to change
It's never too late to get it back

Memories

Written By: dayinthelife

Sweet melody awakes me
I don’t know the name
Who’s playing
‘Once upon a time’ is how it starts
It’s in my heart, oh yeah
And it’s time for a fresh start
I’ll be a little smarter
Maybe live to a ripe old age
Now that being said I’ll probably lose my head and be the same
Oh yeah

In these memories before my time
Push me out to find my freedom
Point in time when I will cross the line
Let me roll

I can hardly hold it I’m getting claustrophobic in here
I fear
But my prison’s my protection
As my hour of resurrection draws near
Oh yeah

In these memories before my time
Push me out to find my freedom
Point in time when I will cross the line
Let me roll

Moment of grace before I show my face to the world
Again
Trying to find my place; a familiar face
It’s you again, my friend
I see it all again for the very first time
This is almost as good as dying
Now that I’m out from where I’ve hid I can’t remember what I did before
Oh yeah

In these memories before my time
Push me out to find my freedom
Point in time when I will cross the line
Let me roll
