Daylight and a Dream

Daylight and a Dream

BandRockAcoustic

My music is influenced by a lot of different styles. I love the acoustic guitar though so that's where my songs usually derive. I like playing all the instruments so, I got the idea to form my own band and back track each instrument. It really makes each song my very own

Biography

I've been in bands throughout high school. When I got the idea to start recording my first band, I invested in some very modest recording equipment. However, I could never test it out that much because it was hard to get the band all together. So I started recording it on my own. Eventually I decided to start my own solo project, where I played guitar and sang. That wasn't enough for me. So eventually I bought my very own drum set and bass and everything in between. I was so committed to recording however, that I took the bed out of my 10 by 10 room to make room, and slept on the couch or my sister's room when she went away for college. After a year of that, my dad helped me build a recording studio in the basement. In high school I was involved with Jazz Combo, Jazz Band, Chorus and almost every music class my school had to offer (and it offers a lot). I was awarded The Highest Achievement in Music Award at the Senior Awards Ceremony. That is something I am more proud of than all of my recorded songs combined. All in all, I love making music and recording it for others to enjoy!

Set List

When I play live, I usually play at local coffee houses. My set's have always been somewhere around 20 minutes or so. Usually I do covers that include songs by The Beatles, Jason Mraz, Matt Nathanson, Death Cab for Cutie, Jack Johnson, Sondre Lerche and a few originals as well.
