Dayna is one of the up coming young artist in the Midwest who will take the jazz world by storm as she prepares for her debut CD in 2012. Dayna Davis, a Motown native was born into a musically inclined family in the 80s. Over the years, Dayna has become a triple threat. She is classically trained in piano and the alto saxophone and is training her vocals to become an undeniable talent and star on the rise.
Dayna has been apart of many professional workshops and training camps over the years including, Interlochen, Blue Lake Fine Arts Camp, songwriting workshops at Berklee College of Music-Boston, workshops with ASCAP, as well as the Nashville Songwriters Association International (NSAI).
As a professional singer, Dayna has lent her voice to the gospel recording group “Mark Holley and 1-A- Chord” and has appeared on several shows with “Michael Davis & Friends”.
Dayna is no stranger to the business side of the entertainment business. She currently has an Indie Record Label (DRD International Records), and a publishing company (DRD International Publishing).
Dayna Davis strives to provide classic sounds and entertainment in a first-class performance that people of all ages can enjoy. She is no stranger to the stage and will draw you in with her earthy sophistication and engage you with her fun, warm, and genuine spirit. There is something for everyone. Because of her diverse taste in music and cultured lifestyle, you will experience a sound that ranges from jazz to gospel, from neo-soul to folk and pop to Broadway.
Dayna Davis is currently working on her first solo single, a dynamic remake of Etta James’ “At Last”! It is due to be released on September 13, 2011 in CD & PDD formats.
Dayna’s life goals reach the entertainment realm and beyond. Her ultimate goal is to help people around the world brighten their day and achieve their dreams thru the creative arts via her work as a recording artist. She also hopes to continue composing and producing her own work, as well as others. A major goal of Dayna’s is to do a whole album of original works. With her creativity and talent, it is sure to be a dynamic recording.
Dayna Davis also has big philanthropic goals. She hopes to one day start her own school for the fine & performing arts , and tour the world as a motivational speaker.
