"Day Seven celebrates CD launch with concert"

Local Christian band Day Seven will take the stage for a concert and CD release party on Jan. 7 at The Warehouse next to West Rome Baptist Church.

Admission to the event is free.

Several years ago a few young men from Northwest Georgia had a vision that one day they would spread the word of Christ through their music.

On Sept. 15, 2003, their vision became reality when they united to form Day Seven ministries. They in no way would have dreamed that after five and a half years they would still be traveling and spreading the word of God throughout the United States.

Chad Davis (lead vocals), Phillip Alexander (lead guitar), Dusty Brown (bass), Tyler Martin (drums) and Eric Martin (guitar) have extraordinary testimonies about the many struggles they have overcome together, and how the results of each of those situations have made them stronger as a band.

For several years the band has played at youth events and churches. Day Seven has opened for Chasen, Sanctus Real and DecembeRadio when they played here in the Rome area
