Bio

Daytime Theft's music is influenced by various artists from the genres of funk, Motown, jazz, classic rock, and soul, creating a Funk/Rock/Pop fusion. All of their original songs are innovative pieces with catchy riffs, making them very radio-friendly. No Daytime Theft song can be simply classified as ‘rock’, since all of them involve a fusion of different styles, ranging from funk to Latin music. The addition of a saxophone as a lead instrument also gives their sound something quite unique from many other artists. The band had its start when Daniella Watters and Noah Siegel began writing together in the summer of 2008 and ultimately decided to turn the jam sessions into a full-fledged band by February of 2009. Auditions were held and the two of them searched until they found all of the members needed to complete their sound. Since the recording of their demo tracks, Daytime Theft has completed the shooting of their first music video and has performed at various venues all around the Greater Toronto Area and beyond.
