Bio
Melodic synth-swept textures and pulsing bass in a rainforest of drums creates the backdrop for the crooning of Tristan Orchard, lead singer for Vancouver’s DBL Dragon. Orchard and Synth player-composer Adam Levine began playing together in Vancouver in the summer of 2009. The two began playing live sets in the spring of 2010 backed by their garageband recordings and quickly gained the attention of local drummers Tyler Archibald, Bryce Agecoutay and bassist Glenn Alderson.
Together this five piece creates a thundering synth pop dreamscape with hints of indie, dub, new wave, early 80’s disco, and electro dancefloor hits. The band has played shows with some of the top acts in Canada with appearance at Music Waste, Olio Festival, CITR, Fringe Festival and held their own at sold out shows with acts like Diamond Rings, Teen Daze, Humans, Gobble Gobble, and TerrorBird.
Their much awaited EP will be released this spring following a 6 day Western Canada tour.
