DC Crank

DC Crank

BandRockBlues

DC Crank brings a mix of old-school southern-tinged Rock to the wired world. The guitar-riff is king, the melody matters, and the lyrics stay honest.

Biography

Take a big shot of Rolling Stones, mix in some Led Zeppelin and Pink Floyd, and dust it all over with Lynyrd Skynyrd and Van Halen... now let it stew for 15 years.

DC Crank is a songwriter/recording-artist with a wide variety of songs and styles. From soft blues-rock ballads to straight-ahead 70' Classic Rock. I'm looking for airplay, film work, publishing, and recording opportunities.

Lyrics

Josephine

Written By: Darin Crosby

Josephine, now what's your game?
It's my parade, why ya gotta rain?
Life's too short, now don't complain.
I don't wanna share your bitter pain.

Josephine, in your mourning glory,
hair pulled back like a racing pony,
Fangs cleaned up so they're ready to bite
You're the only one who knows you're in a fight.

Live your life on the edge of town,
Drinking red wine and sleeping around.
I betcha didn't think life would be this way.
All you gotta do is get out and play.

Josephine, in your mourning glory,
Hair pulled back like a racing pony,
Fangs cleaned up so they're ready to bite
You're the only one who knows you're in a fight.

You think life's a party, you're just a drunk.
You think your ship sailed, I think it sunk.
I'm not gonna spend much time with you,
I'm sure you feel the same way too.

Josephine, in your mourning glory,
Hair pulled back like a racing pony,
Fangs cleaned up so they're ready to bite
You're the only one who knows you're in a fight.

Fangs cleaned up so they're ready to bite
You're the only one who knows you're in a fight.

Loving Heart

Written By: Darin Crosby

Once upon a midnight storm,
I found myself away from home.
Too dark to see a guiding star,
Too far to hear your loving heart.
Too far to hear your loving heart,
Too long to bear that we're apart.

On a night that will not end,
A foreign town becomes my friend.
The city lights - they show the way,
But they can't light my loving heart.
No they can't still my beating heart,
Away from you the world should stop.

So I walk along the road,
Waiting for the last flight home.
The rain comes down, but I don't care,
Your loving heart will mend the tear.
Your loving heart will mend the tear,
And I will hold you forever.
