Biography

D.Cross "The Living Instrument" is a visual & vocal Hip-Hop artist .Cross is a native New Yorker residing in Brooklyn,N.Y.He combines the arts of Spoken Word poetry ,beatboxing and emceeing in to his own brand of "vocal acrobatics", making music to ears of listeners everywhere. "I bring life to sounds and words in order to reach deep inside the listener," says Cross.Cross has performed in venues
nationally , including Madison Squaure Garden,SOB's,BB Kings,Carolines NJPAC and Lincoln Center's Avery Fisher Hall as well as venues in Philadelphia Pa, Minniapolis,Mn ,Los Angeleles and SanDiego. He wasThe Hottest Poets' $10,000 Grand Slam Spoken Word Champion of 2002/2003, D.Cross performed at the Lyrical Court Slam in London, England.

D-Cross has been featured on Nickelodean TV Land, BET's 106's and Park. He was also selected for taping of HBO's Def Poetry Jam in March 2003 as well as being featured at Def Poetry performances. He has released his own limited edition cds "D-Cross live@ Serengeti"& "Crosssections" As well being featured on numerious other projects including the DVD "Beatboxing and the art of Spoken Word" released by Beatbox Entertainment a collective which he is a member of ,
D-Cross has also collaborated with world renowned musican Bashiri Johnson to create "the Musical Alphabet" project.

Mr. Cross is also an Arts Educator who has worked with young people for over a decade
