Bio
Dead Coast Are a 4 piece psych blues/surf band based in London, Luca Bianco – Guitar Vocals, Craig Leadbeater – Bass / Backing Vox, Jonny Turner – Guitar / Keys and Mari Mardou – Drums and are influenced by bands like the Doors, Captain Beefheart & Syd Barrett etc. Their sound is reminiscent to the more hallucinogenic swinging ’60s, which is perfectly displayed in their first 2 early EP’s Dead Coast EP (released via Lollipop Records) and the dreamy 3 track The White Cross EP (Marineville Records).
The Band released a four track nostalgia trip EP titled ‘Seven Deadly Children’ in 2013 with the 1st Track ‘Mystic Rider’ receiving rave reviews from the NME.
The track also enjoyed a good amount of airplay on indie radio stations across the UK, Europe and the U.S. Seven Deadly Children was supported by a European tour in early 2014 in which the band travelled to France, Holland, Germany & Belgium before the band took a break to record the debut album.
‘Hills Made Of Sand’ taken from their debut album Shambolic in November and the official video for that track was directed by the brilliant Chris Wade of DogBrain Videos. The video was shot in Brighton in October 2015. View the video here: https://youtu.be/8e_2N5-UU7Q
Dead Coast unleashed new single ‘Jenny Loves The Sun’ digitally on the 15th January The Video for the single was shot by the band themselves. Watch the video here:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GK-K61Z6V4g
The LP "Shambolic" was Recorded and Mastered by Syd Kemp (Aquaserge / Neal’s Children) at the fast becoming legendary R.I.P Studios in Primrose Hill, London. Shambolic was produced by Syd Kemp and Dead Coast, and features guest appearances from Yuki Ishi from all girl punk band Abjects, Francesco Perini from The Hacienda and Donnie Guasto from Elius Inferno & The Magic Octagram. The Artwork for the album was designed by much in demand James Burgess who has previously worked with The Growlers & MTV to name a few.
