Dead7 is the most dominating force in the local North Carolina metal scene. In part because they have such a strong connection with their fan base the DEAD7 family

Vocalist Station'
style is very sparatic, Very high octaine, but It's not just a bunch of noise, everything Station says
Has a deep personal meaning,
That almost everyone can identify with.


Guitarist/Vocalist Stevin Walker
Is the "live guy" in the band. He has explosive energy. The music possesses him while he's on stage-
He get's the crowd worked into a frenzy Almost instantly at every show.



Guitarist Chris Cox
Is the guy that paces before they take the stage. He is a guitar genuis, writing Some of the most amazing riffs you'll ever hear. He bases all he writes on cartoons.
He is the hard edge one of the band.

Bassist Tracy Owens
Is the laid back one of the band.
On stage you wouldn't be able to tell it though. When Tracy plays all you see is dredlocks..
His head is NEVER still. His bass playing style is one of the most unique We @ Set.In.Stone have ever seen. He grips a pick with his index finger and thumb, He also strums with the other 3 fingers
(at the same time).Tracy is indeed an amazing bassist.



Drummer Alex Huss -aka- Tilly
Is the youngest member of DEAD7.
Offstage he is the quiet one. Onstage he is dynamic- We personally have never seen someone his age Play drums with such speed and percision. He has phenominal timing. His drumming skills are reminiscent of great drummers such as :Slipknot's Joey Jordison and Rush's Neil Pert.

"Told Me How To Live"

Told Me How To Live is not

The official DEAD7 anthem, but

It would fit the part easily.

The song opens with

"Ever Get The Feeling That Everything ,

In America Is Completely Fucked Up"

The intro to this song

Showcases each members solo talents.

The beat to the song is almost trance inducing.

The song showcases Station's vocal capabilities.

It has a constantly fluctuating pace.

With the lyric "Bullshit I See Your Lies"-

This song is extremly easy for anyone to relate to.

Tilly has an amazing drum solo in the middle of the song.

It's quite easily one of our favortie DEAD7> songs.



"13 Reasons"

13 Reasons is the type song that you could

Dedicate to that one person you hate the most.

With lyrics such as

"13 Reasons why I shot this man dead,

I would rather see him laying face down in his grave"

It's a great song to listen to to relieve stress.

The song is very catchy and it flows well.

Tracy has a badass bass solo.

Everyone can relate to this song In some way, shape, or form.

Again this song easily qualifies as one of our favorites.

We loaded up the car with the Set In Stone Crew -
Myself, Kori, Cole, Mickie and our friend Malcolm.>
We arrived at Tremont around 7:30, expecting there to
Be a line wrapped around the block-
To our suprise, there weren't that many people there yet-

Excited to see God Forbid Mnemic but more or so
To see our Boys DEAD7 on the main stage

We walked by the loading docks and There sat the
guys from God Forbid It was amazing!

As soon as we got in and grabbed a beer,
DEAD7 took the stage-
We were right up front- and
It was one of the most amazing shows
We have seen DEAD7play thus far
They completely let loose-
They let the people there know why
They are the next big thing out of N.C.

Stevin and Chris shined on guitar-
They stood right at the crowd- we loved it!
Tilly threw down on the drums and
Tracywas astonishing on the bass.
Station was at his best, getting the crowd involved-
His vocals were dead on it -
He passed the mic over our way-
He was like
" I know some of ya'll motherfuckers know the words"
So our little group went off!
We all love how they ALWAYSinvolve the fans-
They never fail to give props to the people that support them-
Or to the other bands playing the show.

They performed one of the new tracks "Little Boy Everything"
Brought back "13 Reasons" and"Crazychild"
( which pleased the hell out of us)
They Performed
"Told Me How To Love","Fold Your Hands"
And to my surprise, "Wallpannel"

were aknowledging The fans that were there-
and Stevin called "Set In Stone"
We love those guys!

After D7, Mnemic took the stage with a hell of a performance,
Followed by God Forbid- who rocked Tremont!

The vocalist kept touching hands with us,
We were front row for the entire show.
The guitarist, Dallas was right in front of us, and He shredded the guitar,it was damn near unbelieveable-

Afterwards,
We hung out with the guys from
D7, God Forbid and Mnemic
For around 2 hours if I recall correctly
Mnemicgave us stickers and cds
We got autographs from them all.

It was defintely one of D7'sbiggest shows yet, and
We were honored to be there and witness it.
It was an amazing show -
One to remember for years to come-

DEAD7show If you are yet to do so, and
pick upGod Forbid& Mnemics' latest albums-
Be prepared to rock your asses off,

Dead7 has recently become involved with Verita's Films.
Verita's is a well known independent horror
Film Company based out of Greenville, South Carolina.
They have placed 5 songs on the upcoming film
"Daylight 2 Dark: Vampires vs. Humans vs. Zombies" soundtrack.
The film is set for release this year, and is expected to
be reviewed by many known film makers and actors.
Currently, there is a trailer for the film on
SetinStonePromotions.com, featuring Dead7.
The film crew had the chance to see Dead7 live at Ground Zero and
after the show we spoke with the owner, James "The Truth" Moser about his opinion on the band. What he had to say is noted below:


"My favorite Dead7 song is Wall Pannel.
It's the character I play in the movie's theme song so I'm a little biased.
I saw them live, I loved them.

I saw them live.

And I loved them. As did Josh and his gf and my gf who hates metal. But I think it's because that's all I play so she gets tired of it.

I would love to see Dead7 shirts I'm working on some ideas for them.

DEAD7
The Wizards Lounge - Hickory N.C.
March 19 2006

We arrived at The Wizard a little after 8pm, after riding around LOST in
Hickory for about 2 hours. This show was thrown for Garretts birthday.
In case any of you aren't fimiliar with Garrett, he is the founder of F.K.R. Promotions. Sadly we missed the Black Ritual performance, which
we were all looking forward to. As we got there the guys from DEAD7 hadn't arrived, so we
made our way to the bar, and took a tour of the venue, seeing as it was our first time there.
It was a decent venue, friendly staff, great drinks/prices.
(aside from the jager bombs, YUCK! who mixes jager with sundrop??)
We caught Chop Top, whom were decent, during their performance, we met up with our
new band "SKINKAGE", and chatted with the guys from Black Ritual
DEAD7 arrived about 30 minutes after we did.
We set up our mailing list table, and watched "SKINKAGE". They are AMAZING live!
We caught our first glimpse of the newly formed "Hollow Project".
During these performances, we showd our support to them, and got a MASSIVE responce to the
DEAD7 mailing list. ( over 30 signatures, not bad for the turnout of the night, at all )
DEAD7took the stage, and let me tell you.... it was one of my favorite performances, personally.
To hear the band say it, it was below average, but I dissagree.
They performed about 6 songs, among them were:
"Fold Your Hands", "Told Me How To Live", "Little Boy Everything",
and "Deaf, Dumb and Blind".
They had a few falls, a little blood..to sum it up a DAMN GOOD METAL SHOW
Station walked around representing Set In Stone with our name written on his knuckles.
It was great, It's always nice to have an appreicative band.
After DEAD7, Dixie Deathwish took the stage, They were great as always.
We hung around with the bands, had a great time Untill last call, when we all left.Another amazing show guys- We love ya!
