Bio
Deadbeat Blackout is an all-original American Rock band established in 2017 from Olympia, Washington. Deadbeat Blackout is best known for their unique sound, commanding high energy, exceptional live performances, and humbleness.
Consisting of all original members, Deadbeat Blackout features the remarkable female vocal prowess of Hekate Williams and the phenomenal talent of Mike Uuereb on guitar, who is best known for his impeccable talent of improvisation and epic soloing. The rhythm section consists of Craig Fredrickson on drums, the heartbeat of the band, and Chris Johnson on bass, who is a truly natural talent.
Deadbeat Blackout’s distinctive brand of Hard Rock music is heavily influenced by the New Wave of British Heavy Metal (NWOBHM) and infuses elements of Blues and Punk Rock that combine to create the foundation of their unique and energetic style.
Deadbeat Blackout was founded by Mike and Craig in the early summer of 2017. They worked hard writing new material while auditioning vocalists and bass players throughout the remainder of 2017. Hekate was the last member to join the band in December of 2017 and the band played their first live show at Tim’s Tavern in Seattle on March 6, 2018. Over the years, Deadbeat Blackout has established a loyal fan-following in western Washington and has quickly moved up the ranks of the local Seattle/Tacoma live music scene.
Hekate is also an actress and a local music scene icon. Mike has been playing guitar for almost 40 years while balancing a career with Boeing. Craig is a retired Special Forces Veteran and graduate school student, studying to become a psychologist. Chris is the youngest band member, and perhaps the bravest, living life and working hard while being on the autism spectrum.
Deadbeat Blackout has an extensive resume of performing at concerts and festivals all over the Pacific Northwest both as a local headliner, and in support of touring bands throughout the years. Deadbeat Blackout’s discography includes, Void of Silence (2020), Deadbeat Blackout (2018), and Live at the Skylark (2018).
