"Dead Bolt Zen wins worldwide online release contest"

Dead Bolt Zen wins the WordWide Online Release Contest.

Deadbolt Zen is comprised of individuals who seek nothing more than the balance of all things. They seek the balance of beauty and aggression. They seek for what’s best and yearn not for what is better. In principle, Deadbolt Zen creates music to express that which can only be felt in song…
Musically, each member of Deadbolt Zen brings a very eclectic base of influence to the group. Each one has been touched by bands ranging from rock bands like RUSH, Pantera and Alice in Chains to bands like Cream, Black Sabbath and Led Zeppelin. With a collective history of over a decade of songwriting from an early age, Deadbolt Zen approaches composing songs from a very heartfelt source of emotion musically and lyrically.
Focusing their energy on aspiring to create songs that appeal to the full spectrum of radio listeners and thinking prog-rock fans, the group has an expansive discography of songs that highlight both their ability to compose epics and singles. Currently, they have just finished working with Producer Brian Virtue (Jane´s Addiction, 30 Seconds to Mars, Audioslave) on a new two song demo.

Cool grungemetal worth checking out.

Bio

Deadbolt Zen was formed in 2005 and has since had many member changes and additions, with the exception of Dustin Dichoso. Influenced by everything from heavy metal and progressive rock to blues, folk, and adult contemporary artists, Dustin has used Deadbolt Zen as a vehicle for expressing his darker and heavier side. The band has had success in the local markets of Texas, as well as building a following in the Los Angeles area through the 3EG community (www.3eg.org). Their song, Everything Changes, was included in the video game, Tony Hawk’s Proving Ground in 2007.
Dustin, himself, has also had success in TV/FILM placement since the mid-nineties with his song, Scream, which has been used by CBS, NBC, ABC, MTV, VH-1, A&E, as well as other independent projects and films. He is currently working on an acoustic project, while still working with Deadbolt Zen, for music placement and publishing.
