If you’re looking for high energy rock n roll entertainment, look no further than Vancouver’s own Dead City Scandal. Described as “the new class of old school rock n roll,” DCS brings their brand of sexy, dangerous music, paired with an electrifying live show which has gained the respect of fellow musicians, producers, promoters and most importantly rock n roll fans of all ages and styles. Although they pay homage to the legends of their genre through they’re raw, unadulterated anthem rock foundation, each person in this band brings their own flavor from various musical backgrounds to add a fresh, sexy sound to edgy, west coast ROCK N ROLL.
DCS has been an integral part of the revival of the Vancouver/West Coast rock scene which culminated with the Vancouver Rock City Festival, a one night event organized by the members of Dead City Scandal with help from Rednyne Productions. The festival featured 5 diverse rock n roll bands, clothing and jewelry merchants, all MC’d by one of Vancouver’s premiere stand-up comedians. This was a highly successful show for all the bands while making a statement that true west coast rock n roll was back, at the same time, raising a significant donation to the BCSPCA. Dead City Scandal continues to gain momentum on the west coast by performing at many of the premier venues in and around Vancouver, earning them an opening slot for Rock Legends, SWEET, at the Cascades Casino.
Now building more recognition throughout the Pacific Northwest and eastern Canada, Dead City Scandal have been featured on various online radio sites, independent stations and have also been featured on Vancouver’s #1 rock station, 99.3 the FOX and were a top 19 selection in the 2011 Fox Vancouver Seeds competition, before the band was even a year old.
Currently working on the follow up to their debut album, “The Battle for Van City” DCS is setting their sights on North American and international music markets. This album promises to be a whole new level of rock n roll, advancing to a bigger, more defined sound while having fun with the genre.
