Bio

Dead End Allie is a Dallas based roots rock band that has come out swinging. The Band has been described as having a cult following of people craving the moody and yet pensive music. Songs that deal with matters of the heart that have been said to ameliorate the soul. A astounding stage presence that not only touches the audience but electrifies the stage. David Harness (singer/songwriter) and Eric West(keys/backup vocals) were dancing around Dead End Allie for over a year in the studio while in off times with their former band, 5-W Dirty. Dead End Allie, originally noted as Project X, amplified from two musicians composing songs that were intended to be more of a personal collection. David and his long time friend and revered guitar player Chuck Edwards from telicopter and love park (lead/back up vocals)were kicking around some ideas about the project and with a moment of magic Chuck ripped into great riff for the song “She Isn’t Going No Where” and at that moment it was set in stone , Dead End Allie had the perfect cornerstone of the band. There was a couple positions open and Eric brought to mind Carl Orgish(bass) that played for the Native Texan Band. They had broke up he was itching to play. We invited to him to come to a rehearsal, from the first note he played it was official we had our bass player. We found this guy walking through the bottomsof Richland carrying a pair of drum sticks. we stoped and asked if he needed a ride, we couldnt understand a word he was saying from his peyote indused nightmarebut we thougth what the hell, he looks like a drummer and said his name was Pip so we gave him a ride. Dead End Allie was complete. The music is so impacting with the powerful lyrics and soulful vocals to the sweet salty guitar and keys riffs, D.E.A. puts together a different bread of rock n roll. Texas is a smorgasbord of music but its hard to put D.E.A. in a genre. To hear songs like addiction, witch is a exhilarating example of how an addiction can take hold and over shadow anything in your life, with its hypnotizing key riff setting the mood to the “vampire “ which is a “balls to the wall” rock and roll.
