"Dead-Lift CD Release"

Schenectady-based metal-rock-grindcore band Dead-Lift, will celebrate the release of their second, album, "Poor Man's Anthem", this weekend at Northern Lights. Their music hasn't actually changed that much - it fits well with a particular strain of '90's hardcore(see: Biohazard) - but somehow it just feels purer now.

Bio

Straight out of Schenectady, New York, Dead-Lift has been rocking hard since 2003 and has no plans to stop the invasion of proving pop music to be bullshit. The band follows no genre; they play tunes that come from the heart. Every song the band writes follows a different path of influences which really makes for an incredible mix of Metal, Hard rock, Fusion, and whatever else you could try to classify Dead-Lift. They have opened shows for such bands as Korn, Deftones, Stone Sour, Flyleaf, Powerman 5000, Hed PE, 10 Years, Bullets & Octane, Bury Your Dead, Twiztid, Blaze ya Dead Homie, Gizmachi, Madball, Sworn Enemy, 40 Below Summer, 12 Stones, Prong, and many more. Dead-Lift won Channel 103.1's Most Original Band Contest in 2006 and earned an opening slot on the Family Values Tour with Headliners Korn and Deftones. With the mix of incredible song writing, an off the hook stage show, and the desire to take the band to the next level, the band has been offered numerous record contracts which the band quickly declined once reading in between the lines. The band is in search of a good label to represent their music and help spread their message to the masses.
