Dead Pay Rent was formed in 2011 at the infamous Colorado Rehearsal Studios. Inspired by the Studios, which used to be a brothel in the 1900's, the Rescue Mission a block away, and the Whiskey Bar across the street, Dead Pay Rent started writing songs about the community that surrounded them. In 2012, Dead Pay Rent released a demo called Just A Sip, and started to play more and more shows across the area, including the Route 40 festival, Bluebird District Music festival, and many shows at the Underground Music Showcase. In November of 2015, came the release of Dead Pay Rent's LP Fake Filthy Love. With bigger and better shows on the way, Dead Pay Rent is excited to see what the future holds.
