ELECTRO GLAM & ROLL “A dangerous international gang of freaks has decided to pervert the dancefloor. Kickass bass and electro punk percussions are slashing to pieces songs to pogo and fall into trance.” LES INROCKUPTIBLES

After almost 3 years of touring around the globe, former LA based French Dead Sexy relocated in Berlin in 2010 and started to work on the follow up to the acclaimed “Kamikaze”.

In the summer of 2011, the band decided to redefine their sound to get a closer approach of their live performances.

Recorded between Berlin, and Paris, the band decided to work with various engineers, including Dimitri Dupire (Mignon), and Thomas Stern (Crime & The City Solution, E Naubauten…) who gave them the vintage guitar sound they where looking for.

After few weeks of pre-production of the record in Berlin, Dead Sexy stopped on 12 tracks and started collaborations with a selected choice of musicians : Cyril Debarge of We Are Enfants Terribles, Suzanne Combo, Romain Frequency (Electrosexual), James Leg of Tennessee’s best Black Diamond Heavies, David Maars (Platz Blanche), Mickey Blow (Johnny Thunders anyone ?) and Boris Jardel from Indochine/Supervision.

Very influenced by their worldwide travels and endless night in Berlin, started to find the lead for « Rodeo Boys », a hell of a ride that features a cocktail of filthy rock’n’roll and electronic anthem.
Something loud and clear, raw and unique. « Full of dirt and grace. A mix of classic beats and hypnotic riffs » as they say.

For the final touch of their newborn, Dead Sexy chosed to work again with french Producer Mazarin (No One Is Innocent, Olivia Ruiz, Birdy hunt) for the mix and Dimitri Tikovoi, (The Horrors, Placebo…) for their song « Lonesome Poupee ».

Between dancefloor electro rock tribute to Berghain « Panorama » and early new wave infuences of « Slow motion », « Rodeo Boys » covers the widest specter of Dead Sexy. A bunch of runaway boys fed with the poison of Iggy, Ziggy and Alan V, the essence of punk, 808 and 666…

Dead Sexy is now working on a new vidéo, live set and concept. They will showcase their new record in the spring with a new drummer behind them. And summer ?
Summer will be full of surprises.
