Rust Bowl Ballads Volume One (Self Released)
http://deaedlanguage.bandcamp.com
Deaed Language's first unofficial EP is distinctly unlike most underground hip hop today in both sound and message. Steering from the formulaic themes of trash talk and self-glorification, Rust Bowl Ballads is an ode to social and personal transformation meant to carry the listener into the heart of a dust storm. The EP is a personal time capsule for Deaed and the foundation for an official full-length album to be released in 2013.

Bio
From a life rooted in activism, introspection, and DIY art movements, experimental rapper/producer Deaed Language has developed a stand-alone voice in the world of underground hip hop. With dark, gritty songs that tie critiques of modernity with instructions for social and personal liberation, his music pays homage to the foundational hip hop messages of intellectual empowerment and community building. Partly dialectic, partly haunting, Deaed’s personal-as-political poems mix with folk punk inspired beats to sweep the listener into the heart of a dust storm.
Deaed’s musical inspirations span from the Hip-Hop legends of Aesop Rock and Sole to the old time and bluegrass ballads of Woody Guthrie and Leadbelly. His original music is self produced and written, drifting from droning and dense proclamations to ambient dreamscapes of better worlds to come. Deaed has come to craft a style and message based on his experiences growing up in the wet and wooded Pacific Northwest and inspired by the great poets of the past who shared their knowledge so that all may benefit.
