Dean Colley - Hot August Night - A Tribute to Neil Diamond

Costa Mesa, CA: Dean Colley, sang to a sold out Saturday night audience at the nightclub called the “The Hanger” in the center most spot of the heavily attended Orange County Fair in Costa Mesa, Calif. Colley’s rendition of Neil Diamond, (the American singer-songwriter with a career that began in the 1960s selling over 125 million records worldwide – Wikipedia) is uncanny.

Coming out on stage in the signature patriotic sparkling blue shirt, Dean joined his band of skilled musicians and jump started the audience. Dean will continue to take his show, “Hot August Night, A Tribute to Neil Diamond,” on the road, stopping for such events as a benefit in San Juan Capistrano, California, the mid-west casino’s and on, possibly settling indefinitely in Las Vegas, mid-fall. There is talk that in Las Vegas when Dean opens up that Neil Diamond might make an appearance with Dean on stage.

Colley is quite a showman and has the heart for the audience showing he cares by belting out endless greats of legendary hits: “Sweet Caroline,” “Hello Again,” “Cracklin’ Rosie,” “You Don’t Bring Me Flowers Any More,” “Crunchy Granola Suite,” “Soalaimon,” “I Am…I Said,” “Song Sung Blue,” many more ending with “America.” The ballads of Diamond are genius; and a couple expertly sung by Colley were: “Play Me,” and “Stones.” The resonating deep voice of Colley with his expert musical accompaniment and back up doing “Hot August Night” is a show you don’t want to miss. - International Press Association
