Bio

Three guys lose their female vocalist. Again. The first one found God. The second? That's another story. So along came Rebecca. They ran through a song or too. Chris played a riff. Rebecca chimed in with lyrics for their first collaborative effort,"Tormentor," and Dear Calamity was born. If they weren't in a band, they never would have met each other. For one thing, their influences vary wildly. Chris is a Pearl Jam fan, while Rebecca's iPod's loaded with Yeah Yeah Yeahs, The Smiths and Spoon. Everyone writes, both music and lyrics. And no, they don't always see eye to eye in the concepting stage. But they do all agree on one thing. Either it rocks, or it doesn't. And they intend to rock. A Dear Calamity show clearly puts Rebecca front and center as she sings about what she knows best -- relationships gone awry. Dear Calamity has played all over St. Louis with local bands including Team Tomato, Bitch Slap Barbie, Firedog, The Highway Matrons, Left Arm, Fattback, B&E and more, lots more. They're headed into the studio in November to record their first official CD. More on that as soon as possible.
