Bio

Dearest represents a fusion of American and British rock. It would seem appropriate then that they would cite “Third Eye Blind” and “Oasis” as two of their biggest influences. Their epic, open, soaring choruses and hook laden verses are obviously influenced by catchy American Pop Rock, while their songwriting style and melodies have more in common with the energy and mood of the U.K. rock scene.

Although relatively new as a band, their individual experience is wide ranging. Lead singer Andre Palmieri was member and song writer in the band "left Pency". A group that with the help of his songs, signed a recording contract with Arista/BMG records in 2003. Bassist Randie Van Gorp was a member of Pop-Punk group "The Weekend", who toured Japan, Australia and Indonesia, playing in front of crowds of up to 50,000 strong, and who's songs were featured in the major motion pictures Freaky Friday and D.E.B.S. Along with having the distinction of having the most musical training in the group (with 4 years of music schooling under his belt) lead Guitarist Dave Colontino has spent months on the road, touring Canada many times over in his previous band "Set In Stone". Drummer Miles Gibson along with Palmieri, was a founding member of rock outfit "Walkers Line". The band worked with producers Terry Sawchuck and Mike Turner, while their debut independent album sold 2000 copies.

When you listen to Dearest there is one thing that stands out above the rest. More than the well crafted pop rock, and the sonic force, it is sincerity. It can be heard in the earnestness in Andre’s voice, in every line of every song, and can be seen in the passion that the band exudes at all times.
