Bio
WALKING BOSS is the brand new name of DEAR HEARTS (the garage-rock guitar duo added a drummer and changed names. Same sound, but better!)
++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
Have guitars, will travel.
Garage'n'rock'n'country'n'rockabilly'n'surf'n'boots.
Italy + Ohio = Brooklyn
Let the sad boys write songs at home, this girl can't help it: she needs to rock'n'roll!
Dear Hearts is a garage-rock'n' country'n'rockabilly' n'surf'n' whatever combo featuring ex-Magic City bandleader, Ohio singer/guitarist Miss Lucky H. along with mad Italian guitar scientist Nicotina (himself a star of the country's boiling underground rock and improv scenes and co-founder of Italy's acclaimed Burp Enterprise, a Record Label, Artist Collective, and Comic Publishing Co).
The guitar-slinging duo was plenty rockin' as a rumbling two-piece channeling Peggy Lee, Eddie Cochran, and the Cramps, but with the new addition of a drummer* (*sometimes), this garage-rock trio is better than ever. Put on your go-go boots, dancin' shoes, or hoppin' socks and let's go!
Dear Hearts mine the dark, hungover heart of rock'n'roll's golden years to create original music that only sounds like a lost classic.
Miss Lucky's last group, Magic City, wrapped a SOLD OUT 7" record with Jim Diamond (White Stripes, Dirtbombs) in Detroit before she packed up her boots headed to NYC with Dear Hearts (sometimes known as Walking Boss, depending on who else is joining her on stage any given night).
WHAT'S NEXT?
Fresh from tour stops in Italy, Germany, and the good ol' U.S.of A, Dear Hearts have a new 7" E.P. being pressed and printed as you read this. So, if you missed the last one, don't miss this one--these things go fast, just like rock'n'roll should!
(NOTE: As a dirty guitar duo, Nicotina & Lucky still play out as Dear Hearts, particularly in Europe.)
RECOMMENDED IF YOU DIG:
Reigning Sound, Patsy Cline, Jerry Lee Lewis, The Ettes, Holly Golightly, Billy Childish, Buddy Holly, Cheater Slicks, White Stripes, Peggy Lee, Bo Diddley, Dex Romweber Duo. Rock'n'roll fun.
