Bio

Dear Lovely began in 2006 as 5th Ave. North. The band grew and played up and down the east coast, developing a following. Over the next year, the members continued to grow as a group and individually as musicians. As they grew, their style of music came together, and they began defining themselves as a melodic hardcore band. After a year of playing shows and writing music, the vision for "Another Attempt Has Failed" took shape and Dear Lovely was born. In late 2007 Dear Lovely sought out Andy Jackson of Hot Rod Circut, at Jackalope Studio because of his reputation as a producer and his unique ability to capture the raw energy on "Another Attempt Has Failed". The record took shape, and the band released the EP in May of 2008. The day after their home town CD release show, Dear Lovely hit the road for what was to be the summer of a lifetime. With the devotion only a starving band could have, Dear Lovely sold CD’s and merchandise to anyone who would venture out to their van in the mall parking lot or walk by the door of a concert venue. With stops on the Hope Core “Summer Of Salvation Tour”, Cornerstone Festival and several other festivals, Dear Lovely continued to build a solid fan base and lasting relationships with bands and fans alike. As fall approached, Dear Lovely continued the momentum from the summer. They negotiated with Rev Distribution to get their music in Hot Topic Stores across Tennessee, and they also formed a partnership with The Imperial Foundation for artist management. Dear Lovely also sought out gear endorsements from some of the top manufacturers in their field. Dear Lovely is currently touring and writing/recording what they know will be the next big step for their band.
Dear Lovely is; Daniel Herman, Chris Heaton, Doug Arsenault, Kevin Blue, and Zack Herman. But more importantly, Dear Lovely is a group of guys dedicated to changing the world around them through their music. Defining themselves as melodic hardcore/indiecore, Dear Lovely is a catchy, but not cliché mix of in your face music. The explosive guitars, big drums, and lyrics that speak of Grace and Hope make Dear Lovely a heart pounding experience both on the stage and in your iPod. They are here to stay.
