Bio

‘Aggressive Rock. Melodic Hard Rock.’ No genre or category comes close in describing the unique sound of this three-piece group, known as Death & Desire...
Formed in late 2002, and hailing from Kansas City, Missouri, Death & Desire proved early on that they were serious about their musical career, touring extensively in more than 15 states, as well as festivals and a club tour in Europe. In addition to their touring, Death & Desire has traveled as part of the Impact World Tour (IWT) for over 3 years now, performing to crowds of various sizes. Some notable venues are the Mid-Hudson Civic Center, Poughkeepsie, NY (6,000) and the MetroCentre, Rockford, IL (12,000). Over three years, Death & Desire has performed for close to 100,000 people. This success, though, has not slowed them in their drive to go to the next level.

In 2005, Death & Desire inked a deal with KikStart Records, Inc. Under the watchful eye of executive producer and LA veteran, Paul Andris, Death & Desire are currently in the studio recording their first full length album, tentatively set for an early spring release. This is the latest step in a career that has developed quickly for the band. Their first independent release, ‘Waiting,’ sold well despite being available only on the bands’ website and at their live shows. On their first tour in Denmark the band sold almost half of the first pressing of the album.

Death & Desire put their focus and energy into real-life issues, not being content with emulating the fluff of many popular songs today. Issues like pain, betrayal, love, anger, faith, passion, failure, joy, and depression are the content of their lives, and their songs. They don’t move around these issues, they hit them head-on and lay their hearts open to the audience.

On the horizon for Death & Desire is the goal of finishing up the record, and getting it off to the presses. The schedule in the coming months will revolve mainly around the album release, and the band will be involved in all the media releases, radio shows, fly-ins, and promotional appearances that go with any release.

Passion, anger, love, hate, joy, suffering, Death & Desire. What do you live for?
