Death & The Senator is a six-piece hip-hop band that firmly believes in grooving both the mind and the behind. Lyrics & flows are provided by top-notch emcees uuords (Devin Kharpertian) & Broken Pen (Zandile Peniston), while the funky, melodic grooves are thanks to electric violinist Ben Karas, electric guitarist, keyboardist, & vocalist Maxwell Pollock, bassist Robert Liota, and drummer Max Suechting. Taking influences from jazz, funk, rock, and even metal, Death & The Senator is two parts the Roots, one part Parliament, one part Coltrane, and one part Mahavishnu Orchestra.
