DEATH BY BASS played as special guests of Nova 6 on Friday at Paris Olympia . The stunned crowd demanded for three encores after the English and Americain alternative rock punk group 30 minute set. For those who have not heard Death By Bass, DBB are a force to be reckoned with. I was reminded of vintage Chili Peppers, Primus and early Stranglers, as bassist Fishman has in his history, but also of Devo and perhaps even The Clash. Wow. Death By Bass is a new post punk funk band composed of the remains of The Shades and UFT. The Shades debut on Universal garnered massive critical acclaim but the band took a hiatus while its allstar members went on the road with other projects. Death By Bass are hard core diso-groove merchants with a serious edge. DBB will jump ship to sunny L.A. to record their premier offering and return to the UK later in the year. DEATH BY BASS A debut single /ep will be released in early Oct on Sympathy for the Record Industry. The Death BY BASS boys have been on many records from the aforementioned to Smashing Pumpkins, Siouxie & the Banshees to Outkast.

FishMan postpunk OG began with legends, Deadbeats (Dangerhouse), James White aka Contortions (w/ Flea). Took gig in London w/ Attractions/ Iggy-Bowie alumni. Strangler Hugh Cornwell (12 top ten albums) drafted him to replace JJ Burnell. Bass 4 McCartney and others. Did Live 8 Just returned to L.A. DEATH BY BASS
