"DEATH OR GLORY NEARLY FLAWLESS"

The editors of The Tridge have band experience. We’re not just hapless wonderers, staring at musicians with utter amazement (or disgust). We understand music. We understand bands. We understand the blood, sweat, and tears it takes to create an album. The Tridge purposely chose Death or Glory’s Living For The Weekend for our first local album review. Every one of us remembers where we were when we first heard "Small Town Kids" and "Falling Down".

We’ve been to all the tri-city Sunday charity shows, to all the Friday and Saturday bar gigs with both original and cover acts. Death or Glory is the most talented band in the area – bar none, and this album proves it.

In a sense we feel spoiled, "Living For The Weekend" has become the benchmark for any band we hear or any show we attend. Unfortunately, it brings more disappointment when listening to other acts. We love the local music scene, it’s just difficult to go from listening to the best – to the average.

All of the songs have a cheery lift which is a refreshing change from all of the anti-authority and politically ignorant punk-rants that currently line the shelf of music stores nation-wide. The guitar riffs are not only good – but they’re catchy, and the drums are rock solid.

Something that isn’t relevant to the content of the album is perhaps the number one thing that sets Death or Glory apart from all other local acts – their stage presence. It’s world class, folks. We make no exaggeration when we say that not only with Death or Glory entertain you with great music, but lead-singer and guitarist Jordan Wright is already a seasoned performer, and he knows how to put on a show.

We don’t want to cry wolf. We don’t want our readers to expect the same ass-kissing that Death or Glory is receiving right now. Don’t worry, you won’t. This isn’t free advertising and they aren’t our friends – they’re just that good. We won’t rip other bands, and we won’t worship them either – we’ll just be honest.

Death or Glory is going places, we’re sure of it. Take advantage of the fact that they’re still here, go to one of their shows, buy "Living For The Weekend", shoot the shit with the band before you see them on your television, because it won’t be long. - The Tridge
