Deathray Trebuchay

A year in the making, death jazz dance punks Deathray Trebuchay are proud to announce their debut album: 'The Idiot'.

The album consists of 7 tracks expertly fusing death jazz theatricality, dirty dance and rioutous punk into an explosive mix.

Hitting the festival circuit, Deathray quickly established a solid following and a reputation for high-octane performances. Wild dancing, boisterous testosterone-fuelled aggression and incredible musicianship became their calling card.

Following on from a wild festival season, Deathray decided to record a full studio album in order to showcase their finer talents whilst still remaining true to the followers of their more raucous spirit.

Working on such complex arrangements was never going to be easy. The boys holed themselves up in a recording studio in Dalston for an intense 3 months. To mix the album they decided to ask the one person in the world who could do it justice: Californian metal producer Billy Anderson (Mr Bungle, Fantomas, Sleep). A tentative email and Myspace link gained an immediate fervant response and things were soon underway. Disaster struck mid-mix as Billy's entire house burnt to the ground, but thankfully Billy escaped, having managed to rescue his hard drives and monitors. He was soon up and running again (in borrowed clothes) and finished mixing at his sister's house on a US air force base 5 days later.

It's taken some time, there's been blood spilt and a whole lot of sweat, but finally the product has arrived: Deathray Trebuchay have an album that does them justice. Hear it, love it and join the party.
