DEATH STARSKY

Founded in 2012, DEATH STARSKY came about from a collaboration of producer /vocalist GAGE and vocalist SIN and GAGE's desire to push boundaries and blur the lines between rap, soul and electronic music.

Brought together in the midst of great personal tragedy,(GAGE lost his mother to cancer, SIN had lost his grandmother the same way) these two artists have found solace in musical creation. Originally members of the band rap group The BASIQS, they set out to create a unique genre bending variety of music whose core vocal element is a more thought provoking, introspective, and emotional style of rap.

From securing a national licensing deal with ADIDAS, to winning the John Lennon Songwriting award in 2007, GAGE (Producer /Writer/Vocalist) and SIN (Writer/Vocalist) have continually striven to push the creative bounadries of musical genre, while staying true to their love of hip hop music and culture. Entertainment Magazine Creative Loafing describes DEATH STARSKY as, " an atmospheric flourish of Radiohead with smooth-flowing danceable hip-hop. "

In our live performances we have a setup that allows us to slightly remix our songs live from show to show. This way we can always bring a fresh perspective to a song our fans are familiar with. From venue to venue it's never the same show twice.
