"Beyond The Sunn review"

"Death Valley Dragline wastes no time waiting for the hunt, instead charging right in as their quasi-Down influence leads this young pack into pleasant chambers and smoky anthems that prove these gentlemen have some talent among their ranks." - StonerRock.com

"Live Show Review"

They ALWAYS tear it up and are true headliner material. They are absolutely original. Genuine. Unafraid to be different with their "retro gear". They rage with a modern feel, swing and belt out the aggression without forgetting "John Q. Public" needs a groove to get in to. My head never stops bobbing. Technically speaking they are individually just crazy good. No rules prevail. Bassist Dave has the corner on unique bass lines. NOBODY does what he does with effect pedals. His "Bass-Wah" alone sets him apart, cuz he does it so friggin' well. It's a craft and I applaud loudly. Can't leave out guitarist Donny. Total individual. His guitar playing was always great, but he must practice a lot on the side, cuz I noticed a HUGE step up in the riffing department. Way to smoke 'em Donny. Blazing fast riffs and each note audible. No garble, no useless notes. It's one thing to write a song – you don't have to be fast to do that. It's another thing to be a lead guitarist. You should be fast at that, or at least tight. Donny is both, with sensibility and sensitivity to the song and the way it swings. Then there's the lead work which gets written much like the song: Attention to detail and how it feels. Feel. Yeah, that's what these guys have, and it's so smooth you don't even know you're being felt!

Bio

Death Valley Dragline was formed the summer of 2003 in Rives Junction, MI by Donny Thunders (guitar/vocals), Dave Barnett (bass), & Tom (The Prodigy) Trujillo (drums/vocals). Having a common goal to create a heavy aggressive rock sound. Being totally exhausted & bored with with the generic over-produced sound of most modern self -proclaimed heavy bands that fill the airwaves, Death Valley Dragline fuses both old & new sounds from genres such as Stonerrock , Southern Rock,Heavy Metal , punk Rock/ & Experimental rock to create an original groove driven sound all of their own.
Having toured through out the Mid-West & Canada and playing with the likes of ( Saliva, Ra, High On Fire, Exodus, Blue Cheer, & ATP ) just to mention a few. DVD has continually rock venues everywhere building a broad audience of fans of all ages. In 2008 DVD teamed up with producer Ryan Adkins of (Eminem & D-12) to to record their debut album Beyond The Sunn. DVD is currently working on their next album (Shit Ton) to be released in late 2010 early 2011.
