Lyrics

Seeker

Written By: Debbie L. Rice (BMI)

(v1)
Last one to bed, and early to rise
Places to go, and mountains to climb
Your goal is in sight
And nothing is in your way.

A phone in one ear, coffee in your hand
You look like success, but it’s all pretend
Your life is a mess, but this is the game you play, everyday.

(Chorus)
‘Cause you’re a seeker
Always looking for more
You know there’s something
That you are here for
You won’t stop searching
Till you've opened every door, every door.

(v2)
You’re heart is empty, and you feel the pain
Nothing to loose, and nothing to gain
Tired of the fight, wishing it all away.

You’re all alone, always on the run
Scared and confused, life has lost its fun
You need a way out, someone to show the way, it’s not too late.

(Chorus)
‘Cause you’re a seeker
Always looking for more
You know there’s something
That you are here for
You won’t stop searching
Till you've opened every door, every door.

(Bridge)
Running in circles, with nowhere to hide
Tossing and turning alone in the night
Broken and desperate you reach for new life
Praying for His love to fill you with light!

(Chorus)
‘Cause you’re a seeker
Always looking for more
You know there’s something
That you are here for
You won’t stop searching
Till you've opened every door.

Just give your life up
To the one up above
You’ll find your peace there
And perfect love
You can stop running
There’s nothing to be scared of, anymore.

Yours

Written By: Debbie L. Rice (BMI)

Happiness is bubbling
Can’t help myself I gotta sing
Wanna tell the world about You.

This smile won’t seem to leave my face
My friends think I’m a basket case
But that’s just what you make me do,

(Chorus)
‘Cause I am Yours
Undeniably Yours
Always gonna be Yours, Yours
And that’s who I want to be
I am Yours
Unmistakable Yours
Recognizably Yours, Yours
And that’s who I will always be
I am Yours.

(verse)
I feel like I could fly away
My heart is bursting with your name
I’ll shout it out so all will know.

(Chorus)
That I am Yours
Undeniable Yours
Always gonna be Yours, Yours
And that’s who I want to be
I am Yours
Unmistakable Yours
Recognizable Yours, Yours
And that’s who I will always be,
I am Yours.

(Bridge)
Colors are brighter, my step is lighter
And the birds are singing for me.
My love is growing, my face is glowing
All because of how you love me!

And I am Yours
I am Yours
Simply Yours, Yours
And that’s who I want to be
I am Yours
(Unmistakably, Undeniably)
I am Yours
(Undoubtedly, Recognizably)
Yours, Yours
And that’s who I want to be

I am Yours
(Unmistakably, Undeniably)
I am Yours
(Undoubtedly, Recognizably)
Yours, Yours
And that’s who you created me to be,
I am Yours.

Healed By Faith

Written By: Debbie L. Rice (BMI)

(Verse 1)
Alone among the crowd
Unnoticed and unseen
She crept up to her Savior
With faith to be redeemed

(Verse 2)
She reached out her hand towards Him
As the crowd began to build
If only she could touch His cloak
She knew she would be healed

(Pre-chorus)
And as her faith took over
His power was revealed

(Chorus)
Healed by Faith
Healed by Grace
Jesus turned, and saw her face
“Go in Peace, (your) faith has made you whole.
Your healing has come, daughter, Go”

(Verse 3)
Falling at His feet
She tearfully confessed
The instant she had touched Him
She knew she had found rest

(Verse 4)
The Doctors hadn't helped her
Though they tried for several years
When she saw Jesus coming
She reached for Him through her tears

(Pre-chorus)
And as her faith took over
His power was revealed

(Chorus)
Healed by Faith
Healed by Grace
Jesus turned, and saw her face
“Go in Peace, (your) faith has made you whole.
Your healing has come, daughter, Go”
(repeat chorus)

(Bridge)
“Ask and it shall be given you
Seek and you will find
Knock and the door will open for You
Reach out and become Mine”

(Chorus)
Healed by Faith
Healed by Grace
Jesus turned, and saw her face
“Go in Peace, (your) faith has made you whole.
Your healing has come, daughter, Go”

“Go in Peace, (your) faith has made you whole.
Your healing has come, daughter, Go”

United In Him

Written By: Debbie L. Rice (BMI)

(verse)
There’s a feeling
Excitement’s in the air
People moving
Gathering everywhere
Come and join us
Your life is going to change
And you will never be the same.

We’re all family
Our hearts are joined as one
We’re believers
United by the Son
There is love here
And you are welcomed in
Time to let new life begin.

(Chorus)
We just want to sing
We just want to shout
We just want to dance
And let the joy come out

We just want to laugh
Can’t hold this feeling in
We've been made like new
Forgiven of our sin
Come celebrate with friends
United In Him.

(verse)
Join the party
Your invitation’s here
Come and dance now
There’s nothing here to fear
And He’s is waiting
With His arms open wide
To give you all a brand new life

(Chorus)
We just want to sing
We just want to shout
We just want to dance
And let the joy come out

We just want to laugh
Can’t hold this feeling in
We've been made like new
Forgiven of our sin
Come celebrate with friends
United In Him.

(Bridge)
Jesus the one who can make all things new
Jesus we’re here just to celebrate you!

Repeat Chorus

Alleluia

Written By: Debbie L. Rice (BMI)

(Radio version)

Al-le-lu-ia
Al-le-lu-u-ia
Al-le-lu-ia
Al-le-lu-u-ia

You are Lord, God
Blessed Lamb
Everlasting
Great I Am
You are Holy
Almighty King
You gave your Life for me
So I sing

For you are Worthy
Of all Praise
And I cry “Holy”
Is Your Name
I’m forgiven
I’m redeemed
You gave your Life for me
So I sing

Al-le-lu-ia
Al-le-lu-u-ia
Al-le-lu-ia
Al-le-lu-u-ia

For you are Worthy
Of All Praise
And I cry “Holy”
Is Your Name
Here I am Lord
Before Your Throne
Take my heart, Lord
And Make It Home!

For you are Worthy
Of All Praise
And I cry “Holy”
Is Your Name
I’m forgiven
I’m redeemed
You gave your Life for me
So I will sing

Al-le-lu-ia
Al-le-lu-u-ia
Al-le-lu-ia
Al-le-lu-u-ia

In Your Silence

Written By: Debbie L. Rice (BMI)

In Your Silence
We long for a whisper

In Your Silence
We seek Your face

In Your Silence
You teach us to trust You

In Your Silence
We learn how to pray.

In Your Silence
We learn about patience

In Your Silence
You teach us faith

In Your Silence
We yearn for an answer

In Your Silence
We learn how to wait.

(Chorus)
Waves crash in the ocean with a roar,
Thunder booms in a lightning storm
Wind howls thru a forest of trees
But Your silence speaks louder to me,
Yes, Your silence speaks louder to me.

In Your Silence
Your Spirit is with us

In Your Silence
You hold us close

In Your Silence
Your arms are around us

In Your Silence
You love us the most.

(Chorus)
Waves crash in the ocean with a roar,
Thunder booms in a lightning storm
Wind howls thru a forest of trees
But Your silence speaks louder to me
Yes, Your silence brings comfort to me.

(Instrumental)

In Your Silence
Faith can move mountains

In Your Silence
The weak become strong

In Your Silence
You fill us with power

In Your Silence
Our faith will carry on.

In Your Silence
Our faith will carry on!

Building Idols in a Fallen World

Written By: Debbie L. Rice (BMI)

Hair of gold, and eyes of blue
They said he looked just like me.

I poured my heart into loving him,
His face was all I could see.

You’re the very same God that has given me life
And You gave him as a gift to me.

But I broke your heart when I put him first,
I was blind but now I see.
I was,

(Chorus)
Building Idols in a fallen world,
Putting people, places, things before You.
Trying to get my satisfaction from another,
Wondering why my hopes and dreams weren't coming true.
Now I don’t know why I wasn't putting You first,
You held in the palm of Your hand, but I was
Building idols in a fallen world,
Instead of building faith in Your plan.

(verse)
I was looking for a knight in shining white armor
To come riding up on his big 'ole horse.

Wanting Mr. Perfect to rescue me,
Broken hearts became a matter of course.

Kept waiting for a man to solve all of my problems
All I found was Mr. Wrong.

But when I found You I was made complete,
I was weak, but now I’m strong.
Now I’m not,

(Chorus)
Building idols in a fallen world
Or putting people, places, things before You.
Not trying to get my satisfaction from another,
All my hope and dreams are coming true in You.
Now I don’t know why I waited so long,
You've always been there for me, Instead of
Building idols in a fallen world,
I’m building up Your presence in me.

Building idols in a fallen world,
We’re lost and desperate and alone.
Storing up treasures and working all day,
We try to make it on our own.
But when we put you first Oh Lord,
We finally find our way back home. Stop
Building idols in a fallen world,
And He’ll lead you on the way back home.
You’ll finally find your way back home.
You’ll finally find your way back home.

They Chose Me

Written By: Debbie L. Rice (BMI)

Scared and all alone
In the orphan home
No mom or dad
To sing them lullabies’

Waiting night and day
Just to hear them say
“Too young”, “Too old”
“Not right”, “We’re just not sure”

They sing themselves to sleep
They know no other way
No family to teach
Them how to pray

They long to feel the love
A family can give
Their empty eyes reflect
The life they live

(Chorus)
Why can’t we see?
Why can’t we hear?
The empty lives
Just waiting to be filled

Why can’t we be
His hands and feet
Why can’t we change the world
For just one tiny life.
Why can’t it be:
“They chose me”.

(Bridge)
That’s how it is with Jesus
He chose you as His own
He saw your situation
He knew you had no hope
He never would forsake you
He knew just what to do…..
He chose you.

(Chorus)
Why can’t we be
His hands and feet
Why can’t we change the world
Just one life at a time
We’re all the same
All in His name
A family adopted by the Son
Why can’t we see…
Why can’t it be… “They chose Me”

Free

Written By: Debbie L. Rice (BMI)

When we first met, I wasn't looking for love
I wasn't ready to be found.

I’d been hurt so many times before
I was afraid to let love get off the ground.

The feelings you had for me were very strong
Your love was starting to show.

I made excuses, I put up walls,
I wasn't ready to know.

Then I let Your love surround me
And I found that I was suddenly,

(Chorus)
FREE
Of the pain and the hurt that had held me,
FREE
of the lies and the walls that surrounded me.

(verse)
I was suspicious, I didn't know
Where this was going to lead.

Falling for you, I kept my walls intact,
I was afraid to need.

Then I let your love surround me
And I found that I was suddenly,

(chorus)
FREE
Of the pain, and the hurt that had held me,
FREE
of the lies and walls that surrounded me,
FREE
now to need, and to know that You need me too,
FREE
to be loved, and to know that I love You.

When we first met, I wasn't looking for love
I wasn't ready to be found.

You gave me your Son, You gave me everything,
You finally tore my walls down.

And when I let Your love surround me
I can know that I am finally
FREE.

Break Out

Written By: Lyrics by Raymond Wells,Music by Debbie L. Rice (BMI), Music by Debbie L. Rice (BMI)

Are you locked in a room, without a key?
Are you scared of an end, you cannot see?
Is the voice that keeps whispering it’s OK,
Really trying to betray you?

Are you looking for hope, where none exists?
Do you face desires, that you can’t resist?
Do you hear a constant knocking at your heart’s door
That you can’t ignore any longer?

(Chorus)
Break out of your bondage!
Break out of your chains!
Break into the knowledge
Of a love that will change
Your life forever
Forever and ever.
Amen.

(1st time through, repeat whole song)

(2nd time through, repeat Chorus twice)

Break In!!

Break Through!!

Break Away!!

Break Out!!

Dear Jesus (Emma's Prayer)

Written By: Debbie L. Rice (BMI)

Dear Jesus
Thank you for this day
Dear Jesus
Thank you for the rain
And Jesus
Thank you, for my friends
Oh Jesus
Let our friendship never end
Dear Jesus
Dear Jesus
Amen

Jesus please hold me as I sleep tonight
Guard me with angles till the morning light
Draw me nearer to you each day
And guide my footsteps along the way
Guide my footsteps along

Dear Jesus
Help me to be good
Dear Jesus
Help me do the things I should
And Jesus
Help me to act more like you
Oh Jesus
Be proud of me in all I do
Dear Jesus
Dear Jesus
Amen.

Alive

ALIVE
©Debbie L. Rice (BMI)

When you’re deep in despair
Nobody’s there
And you feel you’re all alone,
When the world turns away
It gets harder each day
To face the great unknown

There’s a choice you can make
You can let your heart break,
Put up walls, and turn to stone.
Or turn your face to the sky,
Lift your hands up high
And choose life like you've never known.

(Chorus)
I want to soar
I want to glide
I want to take to air
And know that I can fly
I want to sing
I don’t want to cry
I want to breathe the air
And know that I’m alive
I choose life. (Do Do Do’s…)

I’ll break the chains of the past
This sadness won’t last
And the pain will all go away.
You’ll be there by my side
I've nothing to hide,
And you love me anyway.

If I cling to your hand
Give me strength to stand
And face a brand new day

(Chorus)
I want to soar
I want to glide
I want to take to air
And know that I can fly

I want to sing
Don’t want to cry
I want to breathe the air
And know that I’m alive
I choose life. (Do Do Do’s…)
I choose life. (Do Do Do’s…)

(Bridge/Rap)
Think about the best, not the worst
The beauty, not the ugly
Things to praise, not to curse
The Holy and the lovely
Think about peace, and don’t worry
In Christ you have new life
Take it slow, there’s no hurry
You’re alive and you can fly!!

(Chorus)
I want to soar
I want to glide
I want to take to air
And know that I can fly
I want to sing
Don’t want to cry
I want to breathe the air
And know that I’m alive
I choose life. (Do Do Do’s…)
I choose life. (Do Do Do’s…)
