Bio

Tony says, "We are an experienced, talented pro group with an eclectic repertoire, we aim to provide a fun, playful, danceable and memorable night for your guests."

Tony Dancy, the Dancy of DebbieDancy is the guitarist, keyboardist and music director.  His long career spans from his 60's regional hit "Little by Little", to Hollywood staff writer for the Brady Bunch & Flintstones, to gigs with Ambrosia, El Chicano, Mickey Dolenz, Edgar Winter, plus many credits as studio musician and recording sessions with with such divergent artists as Diane Reeves and Jim Photoglo

Singer, songwriter, and vocal arranger he has toured around the US with an Elvis act, his super bad 70's band Quiffy, his lounge single/duo act, and a year in Hong Kong with the show band "Sixtiesmania".

Recent ventures have found him in the studio. Tony has four CDs of original tunes out now, the latest is an album of his unique vision of "smooth jazz", produced by Al Jarreau's music director, Joe Turano.

Singer-songwriter Debbie Goodman went from rocking the United State's famous "music row" in Nashville, to touring the entire East coast fronting her rock band.

When it comes to popular music she has done it all - vocal jazz ensembles, classical vocal groups, plus jazz, blues, rock, and country bands from Oklahoma - where she was born and raised -  to Tennessee, and now California.

Debbie rocked on out from the Nashville scene to sunny Los Angeles in 2010 where she gigged on the Sunset Strip and all around town with her band. She has written and recorded some excellent heartache to heartbreak tunes reminiscent of artists like Bonnie Raitt and Melissa Etheridge.

In 2013 she joined forces with Tony to create DebbieDancy.  No matter the style, this strong and feisty female stirs you up with sultry vocals and amazing sound.

Talented 5-string bassist, Dave Grundy's versatility shines when he sings lead and harmony. A veteran musician he has played literally all over the world, from the USA, Canada, and the Caribbean, to the Far East, Europe.

Dave developed a super successful show band that became a staple of high end clubs in Nashville, which led to many stints in Europe. He toured with the funky horn band "Tension" from Philadelphia, in the Far East as a GS12 Entertainer for the DOD, and has many Cruise Ship gigs under his belt.

No genre is too tough - Hard Rock, Country, Funk, Motown Beach Boys - this man has it all down!

Lionel "Mustafa" Freeman has been playing the drums since he was 10 years old, getting his start performing in the Baptist church of the small bayou town of Amite, Louisiana.

Moving out to L.A. as a young man, his solid grooves and funky moves quickly brought accolades and it wasn't long before he was providing the beat for such luminaries as Billy Preston, The Temptations, The Drifters, The Platters, The Marvelettes, and legendary blues guitarist Lowell Fulson.

Mustafa is an experienced professional who has traveled and performed throughout the world in such widely disparate destinations as Dubai, Senegal, Germany, Aruba and Hawaii, and now, with DebbieDancy, his journey continues.
