Bio

Debbie is a Country Music Singer/Songwriter who has been entertaining on stage with her guitar since the age of 16.

She has performed at The East Coast Music Discovery Stage, The Fred Eaglesmith Down East Picnic Concert, New Brunswick County showcase, fund raisers, weddings, variety shows and other events all over the Atlantic Provinces. Debbie was a member of the Country/Rock band Double Time in the 90’s.

Debbie has always had a passion for music and decided in 2007 that she was going to do something she has always dreamed of doing; record her own music and lyrics. With the help of Phil Kennedy of The Record Farm recording studio and her bass player, she recorded her first CD. Debbie believes that everyone is born with a gift or a passion and when you apply that gift or passion in your life you will feel truly fulfilled.

Debbie’s CD is Country music with a slight mix of the different styles that she has enjoyed over the years, such as Blues, Rock-a-Billy, Old Time Rock and Roll and Contemporary.

Her lyrics come from thoughts, life experiences and observations. The name of her new CD and title song is called “Find My Way Back Home”. The song was written about finding your way in life and for Debbie; it was about finding her way back to her musical career after a long break due to a hectic family and work schedule.

She also believes it is important to give something back to your community. In 2007, Debbie officially launched her CD Release at Sunbury West School in Fredericton Junction. She coordinated her release with a fundraiser involving students, teachers and local talent to promote music and arts to the students. Debbie’s plans are to host an annual show in support of the School, promoting music and arts to the students and to provide a professional venue for local entertainers and students to showcase their talents.

Debbie continues to live in the small community of Hoyt New Brunswick where she grew up, and resides there with her husband and her youngest of three sons. Her love for peace and quiet, clashes with her adventurous spirit to travel, and ride her motorcycle, which makes for interesting song writing.
