Lyrics

High on the Warm Dusty Breeze

Written By: Deb Bond

Take me where the long brown grasses grow
So I can see the dragonflies
High on the warm dusty breeze

Take me where the sun shines down
So I can be a silhouette on the ground
High on the warm dusty breeze

Take me where the wildflowers grow
So I can wear daisy chains all the time
High on the warm dusty breeze

To be here here here

Fireflies light the night like angels in the sky
High on the warm dusty breeze

To be here here here

And I'm high on the warm dusty
High on the warm dusty
High on the warm dusty
High on the warm dusty
High on the warm dusty breeze

To be here here here

I don't want to go
Don't want to don't want to go
I'm high on the warm dusty
High on the high on the
High on the warm dusty breeze

Ghost Town

Written By: Deb Bond

I feel like a ghost town
And I know all the streets names
I've been out walking early every morning everyday
Finally found myself but there's nobody here

Once the day broke on this lazy morning
The sunshine on the pavement
The rows of rusty corrugated roofs
Paints peeling off the old wooden houses

Ghost town

I've dreamt these dreams that I'm flying
High up above this ghost town
I've heard them talking early every morning everyday
Now their whispers sound like the wind

Ghost town

Angels Work While the Devils Play

Written By: Deb Bond

Angels work while the devils play
When you're not looking and you're turned away
One road's longer and the other roads shorter
I'd better get going cause somebody's got to walk it
Then I'll know the colours of the rainbow
I'll know the beginning and the end of it

You don't like shoes so walk in your two bare feet
Where they take me I go
There's an angel on your shoulder they say
I hope she's going my way

Life can be cruel and life can be kind
You know you're at the beginning when you're at the end of the line
I know not too many things
But I know what I know if you know what I mean

The angels work while the devils play
When you're not looking and you're turned away

Now the devils work while the angels play
Now that I am looking I never turn away
One road's longer and the other road's shorter
I'd better get going cause somebodies got to walk it
Then I'll know the colours of the rainbow
I'll know the beginning and the end of it

They say there's an angel on your shoulder
I hope she's going my way

Now the angels play
Now that I am looking I never turn away
One roads longer and the other road's shorter
I'd better get going cause somebody's got to walk it
Then I'll know the colours of the rainbow
I'll know the beginning and the end of it

It's Alright

Written By: Deb Bond

Hey it's alright
I prayed here by your side
The night has become day
I'll be here by your side

I can hold you so tightly
The all of you so completely
There'll be nothing to worry
I'm your second daughter your family

You can count on me
Big warm arms that held me as a baby
Time moves faster than a butterfly's wing
You can count on me

Father you see
I can count
All the years that have been
You were there
Anything you want
You just say
Anything thing you need
You just call
I've been counting the days
Now it's five
Everything's going to be
Alright
Anything you want
You just say
Anything you need
You just

Heavenly Places

Written By: Deb Bond

In a shed in a cool dark forest I lie
And listen to the roar of the ocean
The music in the night
The crickets and the frogs become a part of me

As I close my eyes
The world stands still
I close my eyes
This heavenly place
I close my eyes
The world stands still

If you call me I feel this inspiration
If you call me to heavenly places
I'm taken to far reaching destinations
Cool quiet comfort cool quiet comfort
In the forest I lie in the forest I lie

This song is to the wind
To the wind is a prayer
If her beauty doesn't break you
It'll bring you to your knees

I slept on the ground
And I froze just like a stone
Only now I know the beauty
The rugged riches of your home

Heaven brushed past me
I felt a little purer
The sky knows no ground
Nor this rippled reflection

If you call me I feel this inspiration
If you call me to heavenly places
I'm taken to far reaching destinations
Cool quiet comfort cool quiet comfort
In the forest I lie in the forest I lie

The world stands still
The world stands still
In these heavenly places

Dark Place to Shine

Written By: Deb Bond

(Intro: whistle melody)

As I walk on by under a hazy sky
Above the power lines
The stars rule the sky seeking a dark place to shine
A dark place to shine

So I climbed up here on this rooftop tonight
So I could be with the stars
Like windows in the night
Windows in the night

In the alleyways the fences of corrugated iron
All covered in vines and graffiti spray
And I'm jumping puddles
I'm watching the water spray

(Repeat Verse 1)

High above the street
The roof under my feet
I'm singing these rooftop lullabies
And you can make believe
In the stars you can dream
Dreaming these rooftop lullabies

Dreaming these rooftop lullabies
It's a dark place to shine
A dark place to shine
Dark place to shine

(Outro: whistle melody)
