Lyrics

Crazy

Written By: Debe Welch

Jack gets up for work each morning,
He wraps a tie around his neck.
It hangs all day just like a noose,
When he gets home he's a nervous wreck.
He doesn't really want to be there,
but after 10 years he's secure.
He always dreamed he'd own a restaurant,
but now he's really not that sure.

Does It All Come Down To Love

Written By: Debe Welch

To get that new position
She made a bad decision
When she took off her party dress
Does it all come down to love when life gets messy?

Met the boss after hours
Fell for his secret powers
Until his wife made things a mess
Does it all come down to love when life gets messy?

Don’t answer questions with a gun to your head
Your words will shoot you, you can’t change what you’ve said
And now you’re wishing that a bullet strikes you dead
You just can’t be that lucky.

His wife, he said he’d leave her
But that was a line to please her
Before their clothes fell to the ground
Does it all come down to love?
Does it all come down to love?
Does it all come down to love?

Your life is spinning like a merry-go-round
Too many choices that are dragging you down
You’re treading water, but you’re not gonna drown
You just can’t be that lucky.

She tries to sneak off somewhere
But her indiscretions right there
Stuck to the bottom of her shoe
Does it all come down to love?
Does it all come down to love?
Does it all come down to love?

One Kiss

Written By: Debe Welch

One Kiss

I don’t know why I love you like I do,
I’d keep my distance, but it just won’t do.
I hear you, I feel you, I see you,
you’re everywhere all of the time,
and, it’s getting kinda hard to keep my feelings in line,
but, you’re gonna make me fall in love
One kiss at a time, one kiss at a time.

Commitment isn’t what I have in mind.
Before I met you I was doing fine.
Gotta touch you and taste you, and love you
You’re driving me out of my mind
And, then I get a look from you that I can’t describe,
Like you’re gonna let me fall in love
One kiss at a time, one kiss at a time, oh yeah,
You drive me out of my mind, oh yeah,
One kiss at a time, come on, kiss me.

I’m in no hurry, so go on ahead and take your time.
To get you in my head is gonna take a little time.
But, until then, I’m loving every kiss I’m getting from you.
Ooh, it’s true and one kiss just won’t do
for me or you.

I’m in no hurry, so go on ahead and take your time.
To get me into bed is gonna take a little time.
But, until then, I’m loving every kiss I’m getting from you.
Ooh, it’s true and crazy ‘bout you, oh, it’s true, darlin’

Well, I can hardly stand it when you’re gone
And, I obsess about you all night long
Gotta hold you, inhale you, and jail you
This passion is all I can see
And, in your purple voice I hear you whisper to me,
That you’re gonna let me fall in love
One kiss at a time, one kiss at a time, oh yeah,
You drive me out of my mind one kiss at a time,
Come on, kiss me.

Over You

Does it make you feel good inside,

On My Knees

Written By: Debe Welch

On My Knees

I pray I find the right road
only to lose direction
and I pray for strength yet feel so weak
I pray with candles burning
And I pray through my confusion
And still the future looks so bleak

But, I’ll be praying when the sun goes down
That’s when you’ll find me on my knees
‘cause I need an answer to my question, “Why?”
God doesn’t seem to answer me.

How can I pray for world peace
When my own world’s a disaster
And I fight my conscience day and night
There’s just too many choices
And one’s better than the other
And all at once they all seem right

But, I’ll be praying when the sun goes down
That’s when you’ll find me on my knees
‘cause I need an answer to my question, “Why?”
God doesn’t seem to answer me.

Maybe my prayers can’t be satisfied
Or someone else needs more than me
Or will my answer be what I prayed for
And will it finally comfort me

I pray for love to find me
That one day truth will bind
and I pray for life to feel complete
I pray that lightning strikes me
and opens these blind eyes to see
and I pray and Angel’s guiding me

And I’ll keep praying when the sun goes down
and when I’m down here on my knees
I’ll get that answer I’ve been praying for
‘cause I know God always answers me.
