Hi Deb, Great voice! I'm a Brit, so I appreciate the similarity to Kate and Chrissie.....Ray -- www.raypriceonline.com www.TrouzBras.com

I really like the song. You have a great quality to your voice. Very Carly Simon. Nice tune. Ken Jameson http://www.kenjameson.com

I enjoyed the song a great deal and found myself thinking of both Ian Anderson and Geddy Lee listening to your vocals. www.sonicbids.com/RobertLeeKing

.... you have an awesome voice. It oozes with emotion. Someone said Carly Simon and I definately see traces of Kate Bush in you as well. ...Your writing style in this thread has some o' that edgy Chrissie Hyde snap to it. http://www.sonicbids.com/thedailyafflictions - From listeners

Bio

Deb Hardy is a rock singer song writer, and acoustic guitar player and artist.
Hardy has become a woman at the leading edge of
singer songwriters in her area of Cape Ann Massachusetts. She has earned respect from many in her field. Her songs come from personal places and are delivered with passion and sensitivity. Her structures are designed to get to the (emotional) point as quickly as possible.

Hardy started writing songs at the age of 13 and was influenced by Black Sabbath, The Who, Elton John, Pretenders, Kate Bush, R.E.M., and the harmonies of Yes and Fleetwood Mac.

She has been told that she sounds like Chrissie Hynde, Kate Bush, and Joan Armitrading.

Deb's guitar playing is rhythmic and mandolin-like.

Hardy was perhaps most inspired by a local rock cover band in Lynn during the 70's. She watched this band rehearse as often as she could.

Deb Hardy uses her music as a means of expressing intense emotions. Secrets lead to her metaphorical lyrics and a soul-filled style of singing. "My music has saved my life" Hardy says.

Kerry Mullen, Deb's partner, also writes songs. Her style of music is more ethereal, spiritual and has hints of her Celtic ancestry. She also brings drums and percussion to the band.

Gary Langstaff has been playing bass for thirty years. He was influenced by the Beatles, Yes, Pink Floyd, Rush and Led Zeppelin. Langstaff responded to Hardy's classified ad, listened to her songs on her website and thought she had "...a great voice that I wanted to play with." He looks forward to playing out a lot and recording with Hardy.

Hardy, Mullen and Langstaff have played in New England coffeehouses, festivals and other listening venues. The following is a list of recent venues:
Skybar,
Abbey Lounge,
The Rockport Acoustic Festival,
Fishtown artspace,
The Schooner Festival in Gloucester,
New Year's Rockport Eve,
