Eyes of Love

Written By: Debra Farris

I caught your glance as you passed by
Searching for that special one
I think I saw me in your eyes
Am I the one you’re looking for

Am I the one you’re looking for
To share your dreams, to share your nights
To hold you close and cheer your heart
And send sweet love when we’re a part

chorus Am I the one you’re looking for
To touch your hand and warm your soul
With wisp of memories yet to see
Am I for you and you for me

Am I the one you’re looking for
The one you moved as eyes brushed mine
The one you missed as you passed by
And left behind through moment’s door

Yes, I’m the one you’re looking for
Your search has ended look no more
My knowing glance too quick to show
Too late to tell you not to go

Bridge- Instrumental

chorus Yes I’m the one you’re looking for
And you’re the one I want for me
Come back again oh just once more
Cause I’m the one you’re looking for

Chorus2 Come back again I need you so
And you’re the one I want for me
Come back again, oh, just once more
But sad to say you’ll never know, my eyes of love
So sad to say you’ll never know my eyes
You’ll never know my eyes,
My eyes of love.

Get Up

Written By: Debra Farris

Get Up

Hey now, when you're feelin' kinda down and blue
And you're thinkin' no, no no, there's nothin' here for you
All you wanna do is run and hide your head
One of those days you wished you'd stayed right there in bed
But you gotta get up
Hey now, you gotta get up

Some say the world it just goes 'round and 'round
It’s Best to let my problems pass me by
But then I realized I was losin’ ground
I was chained down, ya know because I didn't even try
And I was feelin' oh so small, yes I was
And then I heard this voice, it said
"It's not how we fall, but how we get up"
No use bein’down & blue, Get up

So it's not how we fall, it's how we get up
We stood so tall, for so long, and enough is enough
But we all lose our way, tomorrow, or today
We can count on the chance, we can count on the chance,
To Get Up
Ooooooo, we can get back up

Solace lives a life on her own, (sometimes she’ll ask us)
Sometimes she’ll ask us in for a while, alright
It's just a storm I tell myself when I'm alone
Still I feel like my love and life were on trial
Nothin' but a few steps between here and a better way
No one’s gonna do it for me, I think I'll start today
Cause I gotta Get Up
No more bein' down & blue, Get Up
Get outta bed you sleepy head, Get Up
Get up, get up, get up, I’ve got to get up now
Gotta Get up, got to get up, get up
Come on everybody now and get up
Don’t it feel good, now to get up,
C’mon, C’mom C’mon C’mon C’mon everybody get up
To get down, ya gotta Get Up....... here we go

Exponential

Written By: Debra Farris

Exponential

I love the way you smile at me, and I’m held here in your gaze, and it
feels like it’s just bigger than us, when two hearts are set ablaze.

If one and one makes two, then two’s a perfect catch
This cracker jack is set on fire, lit up with one right match

It’s exponential, Baby, More than the power of two
Exponentially
Let’s see what this love can do.....
We’re gonna see what this love can do.

Now I’ve been burned by love before, yet I know that it’s often kind
Now making love and words with you has never felt so fine

Now If one and one makes two, Two feels so so right
Let’s factor in the power of when you love me day and night

It’s exponential, Baby, More than the power of two
Exponential baby girl
Gonna see what this love can do.....
Let’s see what this love can do.

Oh, such a big love grown from a small seed
Everyone can feel it, Darlin’
‘Cause it’s growin’ like, growin’ like a tree
Growin’ up tall, just like a big ole tree

It’s exponential, Baby, More than the power of two
Exponential, baby girl
Wanna see what this love can do.....
I wanna see what this love can do.

Me, me, me and you, you, you
C’mon, baby girl, come on
Let’s see what this love can do…, (yea I wanna) C’mon
Cause it’s exponential, baby (yea I wanna)
Aw, it’s exponential, Baby, feel it, c’mon
Can’t you feel it, c’mon

The First Step

Written By: Debra Farris

The First Step

…Sometimes all it takes, is the first step

Dear Sister, what have you done?
There is fear in you eyes, but why do you run?
It's time to face up to the lives we lead

Because it's Human Nature to feel afraid
You can change the games you played
If you'd just reach out …We'd understand

Oh, and dear Brother, where do you go
When your family's in trouble, when you're down so low
Do you hear me, when I'm calling out to you

Because it's Human Nature to feel afraid
It's not a bottle against a man
If you'd just reach out your hand… We'd understand, oh we’d understand

Well now, it's a million miles to nowhere, from nowhere
We've got to take the first step
In the shadows, we can't see, but understand if we
Reach out our hand

Dear People, Why can't we see, We're all in this together, We're all family, We've got to stop wishing, that things would change themselves
When our World is in trouble,
And we all can help

'Cause it's Human Nature to feel afraid
We can change the plans we made
If we'd just reach out… We'd Understand, (take the first step)
Oh, we'd understand, (take the first step)
Reach out, Reach out and understand, yea, yea, yea yea
(take the first step) (take the first step)

Reach out and understand,
Reach out and understand
Reach out and understand….1, 2, 3…

Roaster's Blues

Written By: Debra Farris

You heat me up
And you roast me sublime
Your kind of lovin', should be a crime
Full bodied, fine ground, smooth to the core
And darlin', that's what keeps me comin' back for more
You got me brewin' over you
I like your kind of blend
And you got me drinkin' Moore coffee from mornin' til the day's sweet end

I wanna take you for a ride, She said
Wontchu have a little sip of my love
No, it's not just inside your head
I know this one can rise above
Because the way that I see it,
The sooner I leave
The Moore coffee I drink, the faster I can get to your love

And now I want Moore Coffee
I want Moore Coffee
Gimmee some Moore Coffee
I want Moore
And you got me drinkin' Moore coffee from mornin' til the day's sweet end

Four ounces for the grinder
A cup for my mug
Nothin could be finer, than you to wake me up
Deep and dark and roasted oh, so clean
You've gotten in my veins, down dirty and mean
Well I confess, it's true
Nothin but your blend will do
And you got me drinkin' Moore coffee from mornin' til the day is through

(Stop Time)
I got ONE.........for the grinder
TWO.......for my mug
THREE..........for my Baby,
Wontcha Gimmee a slug?

And now I want Moore Coffee
Gimmee some Moore Coffee
Just a little bit Moore Coffee
I want Moore
And you got me drinkin' Moore coffee from mornin' til the day's sweet end

Good Luck

Written By: Debra Farris

I am Good Luck, Nothing less than a miracle
I am Good Luck, Nothing less than a miracle

Once in a dream, I was learning a song but the tune seemed unfamiliar
I likened the words, To the truth that I’d found And my life came tumbling after

Now I am Good Luck, Nothing less than a miracle
I am Good Luck, Nothing less than a miracle, a miracle

Coyote waits, at the top of the hill and laughs in the face of danger
and he teaches and mocks us, befalling from grace the myth that says we’re all strangers

Now I am Good Luck, Nothing less than a miracle
I am Good Luck, Nothing less than a miracle, a miracle

(Bridge)
I call to you now, Hold the light to my name
Because life must be more than this checkboard game
My senses are clearing, Still this new baby cries
Born to choose time again “Tween the Truth and the lies
Whoa...

(guitar solo chorus 2x)

I return to self, Sanctitiy that I’d lost
It is written inside the muse
I had let the dove go, thinking joy was the path
That only angels use
But now I know, now I know, now I know........

That I am Good Luck, Nothing less than a miracle
I am Good Luck, Nothing less than a miracle, a miracle
I am Good Luck, Nothing less than a miracle
I am Good Luck, Nothing less than a miracle, a miracle

Hah, Good Luck!
Hah, Good Luck!
Hah, Good Luck!

Didn't Come It Easy

Written By: Debra Farris

I may be wise, But I didn’t come by it easy
Learned to think twice, But I didn’t come by it easy
I had to kick my own ass, before someone else did
Flat fine line, between adult and kid
All this and more, But I didn’t come by, I didn’t come by it easy, no, no

Easy like a squeaky wheel
Easy dog a nippin’ my heels
Easy does it Baby, like a fish on a line
Easy over easy, flip me one more time, uh Huh

I may be rich, But I didn’t come by it easy
Always a catch and a hitch, But I didn’t come by it easy
It took a long time to learn the best things in life are free
So if I wear a diamond, or drive a fancy car, it aint me
What I know, I know for sure, But I didn’t come by, I didn’t come by it easy, no

Easy like a squeaky wheel
Easy, dog a nippin’ my heels
Easy does it Baby, like a fish on a line
Easy over easy, flip me one more time, uh Huh

There was a time ago, when I didn’t come by it easy
Now Life is slow good, But I didn’t come by it easy
And if you think the grass is greener, Baby......

you know, I didn’t come by it…, No, I didn’t come by it no ….
No, I didn’t come by, didn’t come by, didn’t come by no, no…I didn’t come by it easy, no

I may feel fine, But I didn’t come by it easy
Happiness is mine, You know I didn’t come by it easy
When I thought that I was comin’, I was really chasin’ already gone
‘Cause joy is in the moment, and the feeling goes on and on
And I wanted you all to know, That although is may not show
Ya know I didn’t come by, I didn’t come by, I didn’t come by, I didn’t come by it easy

Easy like a squeaky wheel
Easy dog a nippin’ my heels
Easy does it Baby, like a fish on a line
Easy over easy, flip me one more time,

Easy, Uphill both ways
Easy, sleezy love leavin me in a daze
Easier than easy, is the hardest one yet
Easy route for me, tough is what I get, uh Huh

Easy, now easy
Take it easy
There’s a good chance that from here on out, things are going to get easier.....

Make Love To your life

Written By: Debra Farris

Take the long way home
Ride a natural high
Draw a clear warm breath
Raise your face to the light
It doesnt matter where you go
It doesnt matter whos right
Just keep your eyes on the prize, now, Baby
Make love to your life

When the road is uphill
And youre feelin uptight
Every turn seems wrong
Puts you deeper into night
But its not who you are
So stand tall in the light
Mix it all in the mix, now baby
Just make love to your life

When youre in the flow, Baby
Just watch and see
Its not about you, and its
it's not about me
Just set your course, and
let go of the wheel
I betchu gonna, I betchu gonna like the way that you feel, alright.

Drive the heat of the moment
Rain or sunshine bright
Theres a fork in that road
Joy & love or Strife
So let the passion flow thru you
Til you know your livin right
Its right here
Make love to your life

Mix it all in the mix, now baby
Just make love to your life

Just keep your eyes on the prize, now baby
Keep makin' Love to your life.

Its right here in the now, now baby
Keep making love to your life
Im gonna tell you again and again
Keep makin love to your life.

Strong Little Swimmer

Written By: Debra Farris/Valerie Noelle

I’m a strong little swimmer, This is what I am
I’m gonna swim to the finish line Just as fast as I can

I’m a strong little swimmer, All I wanna say
I’m gonna be the winner on that special day

Practice Practice practice
I practice all the time
So I’ll be the first one
To cross the finish line

We’ll line up for the start
The tension’s getting hot
There’s the starting gun
We’re off in a shot

And all the other swimmers
Are eggin’ me on
I’m gonna keep swimming
From here to Kingdom Come.

Far Away

FAR AWAY

Far away’s where I see you, Far away how I miss you
In my dreams I can see you, close to me
As the day slowly leaves me, And the night comes to greet me
How I long for love’s sweet Lullaby

The minutes turn to hours, the time’s no longer ours
But hope burns eternal in my heart
Far away’s where I see you, Far away how I miss you
Though you’re still in my dreams, Close to me

I awake to the starlight, Wishing so it was moonlight
With love shadows dancing again
You’re gone now forever, I know where if there’s heaven
And I miss your warm touch on my skin

The minutes turn to hours, the time’s no longer ours
But hope burns eternal in my heart
Far away’s where I see you, Far away how I miss you
Though you’re still in my dreams, Close to me

Bridge

The minutes turn to hours, the time’s no longer ours
But hope burns eternal in my heart
Far away’s where I see you, Far away how I miss you
Though you’re still in my dreams, Close to me

As I fade into slumber I’ll awake and remember
In my dreams I will see… you… again

Hank's Song

Written By: Debra Farris

It was a bright and sunny day, as he sailed out on the sea
Just kissed his wife and kids, how he loved his family
He never believed, that she would ever leave
And a smile crossed his lips, ‘cause his love for her… would forever be

And she never saw the headlights as she came around the bend
And she never thought that this, was the way her life would end
And as her life flashed before her eyes she thought about her man
And in her mind she reached out for his hand

But now she’s gone, her life was taken
It’s so wrong, someone must be mistaken
Somehow this just wasn’t the plan
Now she’s gone, his heart is achin’
So wrong, and he feels forsaken
As he sits with his head in his hands
He was a husband with a family…Now he’s just a man

They had a daughter and a son, both were proud and strong
He and Grace had taught them right from wrong
They were together one and all, until they lost her in the fall
He raised those kids yes he did… all on his own

Now there’s just one thing, he keeps hearing in his head
It’s when she said “I’ll see you later on…”
But later on has come, And later on has gone
And later on keeps going on and on
On and on…On and on

Now He waits for the day when he sees her again
Borrowin’ his time, and dreamin’ way back when
He Drinks and smokes too much, and lives his lonely life
Lies awake in bed at night and thinks of… his sweet wife

And she never saw the headlights as she came around the bend
And she never thought that this, was the way her life would end
And as her life flashed before her eyes she thought about her man
And in her mind she reached out for his hand

Whoa…she’s gone, her life was taken
It’s so wrong, someone must be mistaken
Somehow this just wasn’t the plan
Now she’s gone, his heart is achin’
So wrong, and he feels forsaken
As he sits with his head in his hands

He was a husband with a family
He was a husband with a family
He was a husband with a family
Now he’s just a man
He’s got to be a man
He’s got to be a man, Never knew
What it really meant to be a man
He’s got to be a man
Just a man

Comin’ Back for More

Verse 1:
Your clothes are everywhere, you live on a wing and prayer
You act like you don’t care, now baby
You drive that big V8, go drinkin’, and come home late
It’s time we got things straight, now Baby

Chorus:
But then you, spin me around and you kiss me
Tell me how much that you miss me
Make me dizzy on the floor
All the little doubts I been havin’
Disappear when we’re dancin’
I keep comin’ back for more

Verse 2:
Y’ always leave up the seat, Won’t eat nothing but red meat
Stubborn as new concrete, now baby
You take me out somewhere, And then forget I'm there
We're simply goin' nowhere, baby

Chorus:
But then you, spin me around and you kiss me
Tell me how much that you miss me
Make me dizzy on the floor
All the little doubts I been havin’
Disappear when we’re dancin’
I keep comin’ back for more

Bridge:
I can’t live with or without you, you drive me crazy but I love you
So put another quarter in the jukebox, and play me one more time, ooooo

Chorus:
Spin me around and you kiss me
Tell me how much that you miss me
Make me dizzy on the floor
All the little doubts I been havin’
Disappear when we’re dancin’
And I keep comin’ back for more
Oh, comin’ back for more…yea

Walk Away

Written By: Debra Farris/Susan Hewitt

WALK AWAY
Verse 1:
Saw you today at the café, sittin’ beside her holding hands
I was in shock, and I’m feeling furious
Said you were just friends, tried to pretend, that there was nothin’ goin’ on
From over here, it looked pretty serious

PreChorus1:
Thought that you’d be glad to see me, boy was I surprised
Now I know why you’ve been busy, busy tellin’ lies

Chorus:
So go have your fun, I hope she’s the one, I just came to tell you that it’s over
Better I know, glad I found out about you
Thought you were sweet, but you’re only a cheat, I’ve had enough of you, so
I know, I know I know, I’m gonna walk away

Verse 2:
Now it's all clear, why you weren't here
Why you had lots of things to do
I've been a fool, wastin' my time on you…
What's all the hype? She's not your type
She's just the newest girl in town
Bet you enjoyed showin' her around...

PreChorus 2:
I’d been hearing all these rumors, didn’t want to know
Guess my friends will all be sayin’ hey, we told you so

Chorus:
So go have your fun, I hope she’s the one, I just came to tell you that it’s over
Better I know, glad I found out about you
Thought you were sweet, but you’re only a cheat, I’ve had enough of you, so
I know, I know I know, I’m gonna walk away

Bridge:
Hey I like feelin’ free…It's fun on my own now, I think I like this brand new me

Chorus:
So go have your fun, I hope she’s the one, I just came to tell you that it’s over
Better I know, glad I found out about you
Thought you were sweet, but you’re only a cheat, I’ve had enough of you, so
I know, I know I know, I’m gonna walk away
I know, I know I know, I’m gonna walk away…

Sweeter Now There's Three

Written By: Debra Farris/Susan Hewitt

Sweeter now There’s Three
Verse 1:
Sunrise, here comes a new day
And I'd like to welcome you into your world
Precious and innocent beautiful girl
You're mine, all mine.
Silence, I'm watching you breathing
Couldn't imagine quite how you would be
Wanted to see you and wanted to feel
You near, so near.

Chorus:
And now that we’re a family
I can't quite remember how, it used to be
Life was good with two, but
How much sweeter now there's three.

Verse 2:
Waited, a long time to see you
But now you are here and you're shiny and new
I simply can't take my eyes off of you
So sleep, just sleep

Chorus

Bridge:
Can’t help falling, Can’t help falling in love with you (2X)

1/2 Chorus:
Life was good with two, but
How much sweeter now there's three
There's three…
