Debra was 14 years old when she began singing in the choirs at Berkeley High School and at Center of Hope Church in Oakland, CA, astounding the audience with her vocal ability. Her love for the Gospel and music was the perfect combination.
Debra is a Praise and Worship leader at Center of Hope. Debra is launching her career as a solo artist and a songwriter. Her new release Prodigal Son, Trust Him, and Thank You Lord for Being With Me are written based on her personal experiences the song ”Prodigal Son“ reminds parents that God will take care of his/her child. She has a passion for hurting parents. The song is a direct reflection of growing up in a church setting. "Trust Him” is based on a personal experience when Debra knew God but had to really trust in God for some of the difficult times that had encountered in her life.
Debra’s vision is to help others who have been through different things in life, like herself and let them know that God can bring them out just like He did her and leading them to Christ.
