Biography

Deca is currently the main character in a groundbreaking Documentary Film chronicling the rise of Denver’s bourgeoning Hip-Hop scene. The film follows Deca and a selection of Denver’s most talented MCs as they make their mark and find their place in the national arena. It may be too soon to say that Denver’s Hip-Hop style will have a dramatic and lasting affect on the genre as a whole, but only because it has not received the National recognition it deserves; until now. ‘Till The Break of Dawn is set to become a landmark in the world of documentary filmmaking by exploring and exposing the most interesting lives, innovative cultures, and unparalleled artistry in today’s world of Hip-Hop music. Perched on the edge of what is quickly becoming a cultural phenomenon, ‘Till The Break of Dawn has a unique vantage point to observe and record the progression of a social movement that will have profound and lasting effects on today’s Hip-Hop scene.

Deca’s life has been inextricably tied to the hardships he has overcome. Introduced to the art of freestyle rap at a young age, Deca has been engineered to be one of the fiercest M.C.s ever seen. With this young exposure to the streets where he soaked up Denver’s Hip-Hop culture also came indoctrination into a world replete with drugs, alcohol, and criminal activity. Deca’s struggle with addiction rounded out by his unique take on human spirituality has taken him on a journey from the darkest realms of human existence through the most inspirational epiphanies imaginable.
