"Decadence- Communication"

"Communication is here"! That is the first thing you see on Decadence's web site. Communication being the title of their new CD. It seems an appropriate title, as each of the songs express a little of the pain and pleasure we can all identify with as a part of life. Your best friend sleeps with your girlfriend, your child is born, your love is unrequited. Any of that sound familiar? Some angry and vulgar sentiments erupt from this CD in a melodic voice, right alongside some of the most basic and painful truths. Whatever the subject matter, these four Plainwell natives deliver their message eloquently, emotionally, and honestly. Check them out at decadencemusic.com.

Bio

From the small town of Plainwell, MI, Decadence is slowly invading the Michigan music scene. With influences ranging from Tool, The Deftones, Guns n’ Roses, U2, and The Dave Matthews Band, they plan on taking their music to the next level. With a Battle of the Bands Championship, a full length CD entitled, “Communication”, and a cult following that grows with each passing day, Decadence is on the road to success.

The members that make up Decadence include:

Lead singer and rhythm guitarist Michael Bennett, who sings with passion and intent to grasp each and every listener with solid hooks and melodic tones.

Lead guitarist Tamas Soboslai, who tears into each song with full knowledge of the fret board, feeding the ear of the listener while adding his signature stamp of approval… and making it look easy.

Bassist Moochie, surges his way through the music, making his presence known with a pulsating explosion, which tends to wake the dead.

Drummer Matt Young, pounds out his beats like a machine that never misses, forcing the listener to nod their head with pure indulgence. Which in-turn, puts the nail in the coffin.

It was the winter of ’00 when Decadence had their first jam session. Now, having a CD pushed by Retail powerhouse, Meijer Inc, Decadence can go in only one direction…UP. Having the mind-set of “Now or Never”, Decadence will continue to push as if it were a last breath. For today is now, the future is Decadence.
