Decathlete is a two-piece band forged in 2012 from a shared love of noise, volume, and frantic live shows. Andrew Grosvenor (bass, vocals) and Peter Zachar (drums) kick down the door and fill the venue with fuzz, cymbals, and sweat. Their sound has been compared to Dinosaur Jr. and Godsheadsilo, while being undeniably influenced by bands like Black Flag, Motrhead, and Death From Above 1979.
Decathlete comes from a primal place, where gut-rumbling bass and shredding vocals fight alongside pounding drums to destroy silence wherever it hides.
At a club or a festival, Decathlete bring it, beat it into submission, and leave it on stage.
