Bio
December Luna Music is a musical project created by Jessica Rose Price, violist and composer/arranger. Rose has thirteen years of musical experience and exposure, starting with viola lessons from Professor Paul Windt of Muhlenburgh College in Pennsylvania. She received private vocal instruction from Lunda Cornelius, for five years, and was also involved with Pennsylvania Youth Theater in dance and theater training. She graduated from the Lehigh Valley Performing Arts High School in Pennsylvania and was involved with the Young People's Philharmonic & Moravian College Orchestra; she then went on to be the second chair violist for the Richmond Philharmonic in Virginia.
In the beginning of 2011, Rose was the violist and assistant recording producer of Gypsy Cat Project, a guitar/viola duo who performed in Tucson, Arizona and Las Vegas. In June she started to record and perform solo, teach private viola lessons, and create modern versions of abstract classical music. Rose performed at many nightlife hot spots in Tucson, including People's Imports, La Cocina, The Hut, Tucson Botanical Gardens, and at the Fox Theater with the Civic Orchestra. Her unforgettable viola playing has been heard with several other musicians, including Benjamin Hyatt, Dr. Meatpie, Cinder Bridge, Top Dead Center, and One Heartbeat. Currently Rose is promoting her debut CD "Petals on Muses," which features three original songs, a neoclassical quartet piece, and a modern version of the infamous Shostakovitch Viola Sonata. She can be found composing and booking shows back at home in eastern Pennsylvania.
