Bio

Decorating with Dynamite is really just the anti-social, poor-excuse-for-locking-himself-indoors project of Phil Jette. Phil got his musical start in the punk band NiMFO, which shared the stage with such greats as The FTAs, Handheld, Belvedere, and Deaf Children Playing. Unfortunately and to the dismay of loyal fans all over the Galt (and Hespeler!) regions of Cambridge Ontario, NiMFO disbanded in 2003 after releasing their critically un-acclaimed E.P., Progression through Regression. Decorating with Dynamite was then born after Phil relocated to Vancouver in late 2005, escaping the death-like grip of Southern Ontario.

Taking influences from early to mid 90s skate punk and melding them with what are now more matured (read: more boring) musical tastes, DWD creates a sound that somewhat resembles acoustic guitar, bass, and drums, along with vocals. Some tracks even feature such instruments as the simulated Piano sound, or even the simulated Cello sound.

Decorating with Dynamite currently does not dare venture outside the familiar confines of the living room, and therefore doesnt play live shows. This may change in the future though, so dont be surprised if you see DWD playing your local (as long as you live in Vancouver B.C.) bar's open mike night sometime in the future.

Keep a look out for the debut E.P. titled From Point A to Nowhere, which will be available very soon wherever you can get it (which consequently is, well nowhere actually).
